What would you replace on my bike?

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Yeah the silver crank doesn't match. Think I'll finally cut the fork this week.

Thanks.

Today was the first day, due to rain all week long since I got it, so I was able to ride it a bit, I only put in 18 miles on today but I purposely rode over a rougher road then normal to see how titanium felt over my steel bikes...it does feel different in a better way! As I rode along I could tell the surface of the road felt more muted without being dead. Anyway it's hard to explain, but I like the ride over the steel racing bikes now, I never thought I would say that. Of course my steel touring bikes ride very comfortable and probably close, same, or better to the ride of the Lynskey, but the Lynskey has a racing geometry and not a touring geometry to soften the ride. I will have to do a side by side with my touring bikes later. I am almost tempted in selling my two touring bikes and get a TI touring bike but I like the classic lug look.

You must have long legs for your height and I must have short legs haha. I'm around 5'8-5'9. When I first started riding my seat was alot higher, but I've noticed I'm getting much better power and stroke with it lower.

I've never tried deeper bars before, but I can't imagine being able to reach the levers as easily with them as it is with shallow drops. The ergonovas are just so comfy for me already I'm hesititant to mess around with new variables.

Dont mess with it then. Bike looks good. I'd look into better cranks and wheelset. If you like the ergo and plan on staying with them, I'd also look into matching the seatpost and stem.

-17 is a cheap and effective change if you need your bar tops lower. And the badass aesthetic is built right in.

dude now you have to ditch that saddle for an all black one to go with the 3T stealth bits. I would also skip the fizik dual tape for plain black.

The dual tape was on chainlove today, more or less just bought it for parts bin. I haven't decided on what I really want yet. I think cinelli caleido tape looks nice - I know, I know, get all black, but I like the bits of color to liven things up:

I'm looking at new saddles too but nothing has caught my eye. It'll probably end up being an overpriced carbon saddle, so I want to get something worth while.

edit to add: put on the new wheels tonight + latex tubes and GP4000S's - my ride to work tomorrow better be fast!

Funny. I got the fizik dual tape from chainlove too and ended up puttin it on the fixed gear. Not bad, but doesn't belong on a road bike at all IMO.

It would work on my fixed gear too...will check it out when it arrives. I have a feeling I'll be trying several varieties until I find one I really like.

I personally find the Lizard Skins tape a bit slippery. It's great when the hands are dry, but a little sun screen lotion on the hands, mixed with sweat and whoosh! Not so much a problem now with gloves, it's super grippy with gloves which is why I seem to have the problem of it pushing forward and separating on occasion.

Not a good photo at all...will take real shots when everything gets added to the bike...also, pay no attention to the messy garage - bulk trash pickup is next week so our garage is full of crap that needs to be tossed...but got the new wheels on the bike the other night.

New bars and stem came yesterday as well as the fizik tape...after seeing the fizik tape, it looks like it'll be going on the fixed gear and the cinelli will be going on the fuji. Just waiting for the cinelli to get here along with my seatpost. Fingers crossed that everything comes this week so I can play bike mechanic this weekend.

Ideally I would replace the frame as the M/54 is a little too big for me. But for now I still ride it as my backup bike.

can't wait to see it. I'll be playing mechanic this weekend as well. New seatpost, longer stem. I'm still holding off on putting my attacks on. I'm too slow to be rolling on carbon. haha.
