that’s right.
Never knew those were a problem. We used to stay at the holiday inn stadium in philly, it has been torn down to become a parking lot. Now we stay at this clarion in a not so pretty area. I only ever saw stink bugs. Seems like where ever I go now a days stink bugs are always in my room.

To add insult to what will surely be injury, this summer one of the huge cicada broods will me emerging after 17 years ago. I remember that last time this brood emerged. I was on a group ride out in the hinterlands. At one point they were so loud I thought it was an ambulance. Then we rolled through a wooded area. Countless hundreds of dead one in the road. Crunch crunch crunch.

Highly recommended. After my ride yesterday, I tried to do a quick nap in the recliner, so I wouldn't sleep too long, but I kept waking up because there was some old guy snoring loudly in the room.....
Eventually gave up on that and lay down on the bed and fell off the world for 2 hours. Fell asleep like a light switch, but had to swim laboriously back to consciousness.

For a couple hours on the drive up north, the snow and sky were the exact same colour. And the area was mostly grassland/wheatfields/hayfields with a foot of snow piled on top.
The lack of visual distractions really made it easy to focus on the road

Yeah I had my fun in a band when I was in college. Knowing the time commitment there's no way I'd consider one now, and I don't even have a busy schedule compared to you
For me, I'll always have at least one guitar and one bass - my dad gave me his Gibson bass when I graduated high school, and my Telecaster was a present for graduating college and there's no way I'm getting rid of either of those.
So if I'm always going to have an electric guitar and a bass, I might as well have some sort of rig...and two guitars isn't that much more of a commitment than one...and three isn't much more than two....and....

Dan Hartman of the Edgar Winter Group wearing his $5,000 bass guitar suit designed by Bill Witten in 1974. "When it worked it was great," Hartman said, "but the tunings were a little strange, plus I can't tell you how many times I got shocked."

With coaster brakes, when they started doing it. Hence the trail known as "Repack" because once you got to the bottom you had to repack the hub with grease.

I've been zapped by a tube amp before. Nothing too bad but sent a big tickle up my arm!

Yep. Here I am, living in the cradle of mountain biking, and I'm strictly a roadie. But I do ride a road bike from one of the pioneers.

Benson and I have had a few walks. Many of our footpaths have been filled in with drifting snow. Some of them are impassable.
There will be snow drift clearing this afternoon, so Mrs. rjones28 can navigate the driveway.

Just used this to wake the little one up. Pretty sweet to watch.
Taking her on her first pony ride tomorrow. Hopefully I don’t leave owning a horse.

I had a shock this morning. I went to pay property taxes on an acre and a half with a house and detached garage, five years worth. And a half acre of empty land, two years worth.
Are you sitting down?
The total bill was US$19.00

I can see why you only have to pay every 5 years. Hardly seems worth it to write a check for a hundred pesos every year.
