Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I played three times recently, when the internets were out, against the computer on beginner mode. I thought the opponent was pretty good.

Years, maybe 25. When I was a garage owner (1978-80) my business partner was a rated player, maybe like a cat 3, and he taught me a lot, but never enough to beat him.
People found out about him and they would come by the shop looking for a game, and by the way can you do an oil change and some new shocks?. It got us some business and I did a lot of the work while he played chess but I was fine with that. It was rare that anyone would beat him.

I watch very little, but this one is on deck. We have one more season of "The Crown" to finish.

Hypothetically, would it be more beneficial in a cycling sense to do heavy sets of low reps 8 to 10or medium sets of high reps 20 to 30 of leg press. Plan on taking full advantage of the hotel gym today.

A surprisingly enjoyable show, that's also timely in terms of being both funny and uplifting, is Ted Lasso. It stars Jason Sudeikis as an American collegiate football coach that's hired to coach a Premier League Football (soccer) club in the UK, despite having little knowledge and no experience when it comes to soccer. I mean, it's a show that just shouldn't work... but it was good. Very good.

Or both. I got changed up today, and it was nasty.

I'm just going to park it in the garage and look at it from now on.

Will only be riding my trike. Can't do much damage with that, can I?

If you're going to run that thing fixed you should throw some clipless pedals on there.

Radial lacing on the drive wheel will never last, either.

When I used to travel for work ,the first laptop I bought had chess on it.. I played it to pass the time at airports. After about 6 months I won my first game against it. The spinning beach ball came up for about 3 or 4 minutes. Then it just started another game like nothing happened. I was a little annoyed with it.
