Here's the All City Nature Boy Disc I picked up last month. It's shown while still a work in progress. I'd gotten rid of the flat bar that came on it and switched to a proper (drop) bar and a seat I like. But it still had flat pedals, which I've since replaced with clipless. Also, I did not like these 42mm wide WTB Resolute tires. I now have 35mm Panaracer Gravel King SKs on it. I also installed some good lighting.* The headlight specifically is really nice: a Specialized Flux Expert, which has a very powerful beam, long battery life, and a beautifully strong and elegant mount.

I'll try to get some daytime pictures of it to post soon.

* BF member TimothyH inspired me to spend some money on a good headlight. He mentioned in a thread a little while ago that modern LED technology has revolutionized his riding by expanding the hours that he can safely stay out. I thought, "that makes a lot of sense." I often don't have time during daylight hours to ride much, but I'm committed to my goal of riding every day, so I've been going out late at night quite often. With a good light, I reasoned, I'll ride longer/farther, and feel safer doing it. So far, this hasn't really happened, but I do like having the big, nifty light.

Here's a pic of my current Fixie. I'm almost 60 years old, but enjoy riding fixed. I had most of these parts on a Surly Steamroller frame a few years back, but my son wanted the frame so I got his old SE Lager frame. I think it's a 2010. Original paint was trashed, so I hit it with stripper and Wally-World flat black and found a place for some stickers I had in my "hope chest"... It rides nice, and shows an old man the respect he so desperately needs!.

Old red. 2007 Specialized Langster I bought in 2014, put some work into, and she's still rocking 11 years later!

That's an odd object you posted? What does it do? Almost looks like a bike but I cannot see the driveside which is the only side people want to see.

"This is not 'Nam, Smokey, there are rules!" - Walter Sobchak
Rule #26 //
Make your bike photogenic.
When photographing your bike, gussy her up properly for the camera. Some parameters are firm: valve stems at 6 o’clock. Cranks never at 90 or 180 degrees. Others are at your discretion, though the accepted practices include putting the chain on the big dog, and no bidons in the cages. Also drive side please.

Where'd you get the fender? What type is it? I've been looking for one of those since I found an old "Race Blade" fender for my daughter's campus bike.

Here's the model. I haven't checked Amazon.

Make sure to attach with zap straps if you want them to stay on!

Thanks! I like how these fenders mount, and I agree about using zip ties. I'd think these would be popular for disc brake bikes because the stays don't interfere with the brakes.

Flat tire every 250 miles and so the Corsa's are gone. At 252 grams each they are not light tires. Rubino G+ Speed are 198 grams each and the ride is amazing.

Continental Rim Strips are gone as well. Traditional Velox is just better, and lighter.

I sort of liked the look of tanwalls but the weight loss is noticeable and she flies. .

Feeling like there is a century in this bike's near future.

Tim is that a dent in your front wheel? I like those tires though. Kinda wish (or maybe I'll change what I got) I went that route!

Anyways, here's my new bike at the moment!

Good eye. No, its some black crud on the brake track.

I noticed it when I was mounting the tire and forgot to see if I could clean it off. Thanks for the reminder!

I thought it was ano on the brake track that hand't rubbed off completely. Now that the wheels have silver showing through it actually pulls in the crankset nicely. Great looking bike.

Nice bike! That is very similar to what i'd like to build. Same color too. Unfortunately they are out of the 55cm. Did you buy it pre-built, or start from the frame?

Hey Dave. I bought it from someone on craigslist actually who bought it pre-built....minus the pedals. Fortunately for me he didn't ride it much.
