Any tall guys want a pink bike in rough shape?

[h=2]Schwinn Prelude road bike OBO - $60 (clearawter/dunedin)[/h]

Betty Ln. at Engman

vintage pink Schwinn Prelude. Tall frame 25" or 63.5cm. I have been grabbing any tall vintage road bikes i can get my hands on and now i have to many. This bike will need new tires and cables and most likely a few more things. But overall it is in great shape and will make you the envy of all your friends. has true double wall wheels and some nice components on it,including the San Marco

I like this deal! Swap out the components with 105 or RX100, resell the bike refurbished for close to asking price, and pocket some juicy DA7400 bits. I've had really good luck selling the older alloy Treks.

If I was nearby, I would be checking this one out.

That Circuit is also a nice deal (and my size)… Crap.

If I had the appropriate parts I would be doing the same thing in order to get those DA bits.

For those into plastic bikes there is this:

https://nashville.craigslist.org/bid/4351319469.html

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Corima

I had not ever heard of these before but based on some quick research it's French and is from around 1994 or so. Black finish Delta brakes with carbon Record 10 speed is also interesting.

[h=2]Vintage tandem Bob Jackson bicycle - $700 (menlo park)[/h]

A fine bike for connoisseurs or people who just enjoy tandem bicycling. It is original but we had it serviced from a famous bike store in Seattle and so it is in mite condition! We replaced the saddles and pedals but kept the original ones of course. This bike was a gift from friends who never used it and and we didn't use it much either as we went overseas right after servicing it. All parts original, this model was used for 1970s Tour de France.
Front seat: min height 33.5' max 37'
Back seat: min 30', max 33.5'

A great collectible and also a fine road bike. $700.

Someone here score these from Chicago CL? I called about 5 hrs into the listing and I was 8th in line. No pictures.

2 RRB bicycles - $150 (Northbrook)

Two alloy steel framed RRB 10 speeds. One is a 56cm (app 22 1/4") and the other a 52cm (app 20 1/2"). These are older, mid-range bikes that would be great for a weekend warrior on a budget. Both have Stronglite cotterless cranksets (170mm on the smaller, 172.5mm on the bigger), 52X42 chainrings, 13-17 cassettes, tubular wheels, Shimano side-pull brakes, 2 water bottle cages, decent saddles. The bigger bike has a beautiful old school alloy Cinelli stem and Campione del Mondo bars (think Eddy Merckx). The frames have 72.5 deg. head and seat angles, and would make great training bikes. They've been hanging in the garage for years and need to go.

Medeci Road bike, around a 60, its to tall for me to ride after knee replacement, Dura Ace, very nice. Will trade for mountain bike or road, sized around someone 5'8. Will trade up and throw in cash. My oldest just moved out and took my 55" all Campi/Carbon FUJI.
This bike is around $1300 on EBAY.

This bike has been fully tuned by an actual mechanic in a bike shop. It's ready to go.

Great road bike. This is one of Schwinn's highest models of the day. Made from Columbus Tenax steel tubes (Italian) and sporting a Suntour Edge 14 speed drivetrain. The rims are 700c Alesa, which I think is a Belgian make. This is actually a pretty nice bike despite the Schwinn name. A real lugged steel road bike with quality parts.

Condition is fair/good. The tires are in excellent condition and it has been fully tuned. The bike does show some wear and tear but there are no dents in the frame or significant rust. Excellent bike, just not "like new" or overly shiny. Show's it's age.

****City Bicycle is an actual bike shop in downtown Lowell with four walls (actually six walls). It is not some guy who may or may not be from this town or that town, this State or that State, who may or may not deliver out of the back of a van (or shoddy sedan). You can see our hours and other information at https://citybicyclelowell.com . I am also usually available to meet at a specific time outside of shop hours if requested.****

It doesn't look like it. I was 6th in line and another local C&Ver was 4th, but it sure sounded like the first guy, whoever it was, was going to take them.

My favorite part of this ad? The "Brookstone seat." I assume that means it has a massage function. Probably runs on batteries, though you might be able to wire it to a dynohub...

Considering that bike is closer to 30 years old, I wonder what he was doing at 9 years old to have 2500 bucks to foolishly spend on a lower end Centurion that was probably 2 feet too tall for him.

Sweet Basso for a tall rider:

https://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/bik/4353112825.html

[h=2]Vintage Basso Road bike SLX Italian! - $275 (oakland north / temescal)[/h]

I'm selling my 1991 Basso Loto racing frame. The frame is Columbus SLX lugged steel with a 61cm seat tube ctc, and 59cm top ctc. This was a high end racing frame in it's day and is still light and fast. The frame has cool pantographed lugs, fastback seat stays, internal rear brake routing, and chrome Basso dropouts. I was able to fit 28mm tires front and back if big tires are your thing.
Comes with an Ultegra headset, Dura ace crankset 7410(and probably bb), Dura ace front der, ITM two bolt seat post, 3ttt bars (41cm), and Specialized stem. I was riding this bike for the past few years till I got something that fit better. That said I do not know much about the bike's history, but it was never wrecked in my possesion. The paint was rad but shows it's age and is probably 5 of 10. No dings, dents, or cracks that I can see.
