Decided to pick up some wider semi slick gravel tires and got some Pirelli Centurato All Road in 40mm. Found them for $25 a tire. Gave me a more stable ride on the off road routes than the 35mm tires I was using did, now questioning myself if maybe I should have gone with the 45mm instead.
You have peaked my interest in these tires as well. Thinking about picking these up and putting them on the new wheelset and putting the M model on the current wheels.
Kind of new. Tires on my madone were done. 7000 miles on them. They looked pretty crappy but actually the wear marks still showed life. Last time I rode it I got a flat on the rear and decided enough was enough. I had these GP5000 sitting for my Ritchey but decided to throw them on the madone to keep operational.
Also picked up the ballista helmet and the bontrager full frame bag for my checkpoint.
Chain is being cleaned at the moment.

Do you keep the Spirit of Gravel in there?
I have a strong aversion to bags on my bikes. I will tolerate a small seat bag on my gravel bike, occasionally, but that's it. I'd rather carry stuff on my body (IMO, YMMV). Then again, my riding doesn't demand that I carry a lot of extra stuff.

It’s for when I go into the mountains. I’m the opposite I hate carrying stuff in my pockets, and I also hate saddle bags. There are a couple of long gravel races I want to try and do, I would utilize the bag for those too. On my everyday ride, bag will not be on the bike.

They seem like really nice tires for such a low price. I found an article that said that they were able to keep the price down as they are not built in the new Italian manufacturing facility, but I will be able to get a better feel once I get a few hundred miles on them, but so far I do like them.

So with my new Checkpoint, while I stuck with the 80mm stem that came on the full bike models for the 54cm frame, over the 10 or 12 rides I have on it now, I am feeling slightly cramped and started getting some issues in my elbows and hands. Found relief by riding with my hands on top of the shifters, but that is not safe in my view. Re-did some calculations now that I have everything setup and the seat dialed in and seems like I really need something between 85 and 90mm, so I ordered a Zipp Service Course SL stem in 90mm. Should resolve the issue.

LOL she's had the bike for years and taken some big trips with it. But it's always screwed up her back. We suspect that she was sold a bike that was too big for her and with too long a stem. We recently took a trip with a flat bar Bike Friday and she had no back problems, so we going to set up the LHT with a shorter stem and flat bars with a little sweep and see if helps.
