Yes. I really can't tell much difference but it seems like it will hold up better due to the extra thickness. The original on my Fujin was looking pretty worn after 13,000 miles or so.

If you had brought that to the RBR Rally, and it was able to accomodate a 42.5" xseam, and I just happened to have the $3500 you wanted for it in my pocket (or whatever the price you threw out there way...don't remember the precise number now...), I probably couldn't have resisted.
Then on the other hand it wouldn't be totally practical - I really don't need another low bike... Aw heck, who needs to be practical.?!... ME WANT!

There is something wrong here... there is no belly and no beard.
This is my friend's Catrike Expedition and my daughter spent a good part of the afternoon riding it around and through the park... she loves this bike and it was not so long ago I would take her for rides with it.

Bicycle Repair Man !!!
The Catrike has come for a ten day visit to my house... took it out tonight for 20km to make sure everything is 100 % (I am the bike's mechanic) and have ridden it many times before for shorter distances but just loved blazing through the city and there is not much on two wheels that can pass a bike that idles at 35 kmh... a guy on a motorcycle was pacing me for a while and yelled out that I was doing 42kmh on a long flat stretch.
My friend thinks the Catrike might be good for my back issues and we'll see how it goes over the next week and a half... will have to see about going out for a longer ride.
Being the geeks that we are, we thought that if we were going to improve the bike we'd look at running two dynohubs up front and wire things so they charge the Bionx system the bike also has and figure with some human input and the constant charging provided by dual hubs the range of the Bionx might be greatly extended.
Without the Bionx one would just have a great deal of power on tap for some extremely intense lighting and because of how fast the trike is, good headlights are an essential for any high speed night riding and for being seen.

Wow... I've never thought once about getting a recumbent, but now after seeing this thread... I'm aching to get my hands on one! Gotta keep my eyes peeled on Craigslist!

My Anthrotech trike from https://www.bikeforums.net/showthread...=#post13016230 is no more! It's now converted into a recumbent quad cycle-taxi, with the help of a donor rickshaw rear-end:
First test run:
Trying out the old Leitra nose- considering modding the rear section to match
Decked out for a wedding (from August)
Album of the build: https://picasaweb.google.com/1031243...2012CycleTaxi#

Just arrived to work. My trike is a Swedish Carbontrikes Race. 28" in the rear wheel and 16" in the front.

My 1st recumbent... diy
Just got the handle bars made and steering "finished" today and had to try it out. Still have to put brakes on then make sure every thing is fully mechanically sound, then I'll strip her back down in order to sand and paint. I took two 40 yr old bikes a friend of mine had hanging in his barn/shop that belonged to his girls when they were young. One a Schwinn and the other a huffy. The Schwinn had the old Shimano Eagle derailleur. I was pleasantly surprised that it still worked pretty smoothly... of course, I didn't try shifting very much as I had no brakes and didn't want to have to try and stop Flintstone style.
Anyway, I think I'll like this bike. should be easier on me than my MTB. I'll get it down to the LBS and let them give it a once over with suggestions. I'm already planning on building a trike next.
Tell me what you think.
Danny
