Nice GT. Although not usually a fan of their steel and aluminum frames (Carbon being the exception), that looks nice. Light?

Curious why you opted for the Chris King BB? I was gonna get one...but then I had a second kid.

The BB that came with the FSA was all f'd up... and I to be honest - I wanted the color, but didn't want to spend the money on the FSA ceramic.

That CK is smooth like butter! and damn near bombproof from what i've read!

That's the only reason I wanted it too

There are a few other BB's out there that are ano...I'm not sure how many in red though. It's PIMP...I like it. I'm a huge fan of the Zaskar though. GT's frame desing is very refined looking...but still pretty mean.

I especially like their take on the Chucker.

yah.. I'd always wanted a Zaskar. My first real mountain bike was a 1994 Karakoam - no shock - and built solid like a rock! But I drooled and drooled over the zaskar right next to it. Never could afford it...

as life went on and I got to be a better rider, on a full suspension... I still coveted the Zaskars, I could never justify the purchase.

Now... I just don't care and I can afford it. I have 5 bikes in my 'stable' and this one is my pride and joy. I built it myself, picked ALL the parts.

All it took was me to purchase a 2008 Zaskar Expert Disc (Taiwan Kinesis Built)

Wich I quickly sold to fund the build of this bike.

In the meantime... My first Full Suspension was a 1996 Trek Y33 - what a BLAST that thing was to ride!
As it so happens - I found a local guy selling his 1997 Y33 the other day on Craigslist for $100!!!

I couldn't pass it up

Bought this in Germany from an Army officer. I had sold my Rocky Mountain before moving there and got this a year old for $1000. Nice ride. Needs brakes bled and I still haven't gotten it done. Still trying to tweak the air adjustments and rebound speeds. But once I ride it more I'll get it down.
