Judging from the lugs, paint, etc, I'd say that one is probably a '72, (like mine) so, yes, the earlier, more fragile fork. But you may luck out and get a bottom bracket that is utterly conventional - english threaded standard. The one on my Lambert is.

If you want to dive a little deeper into some Lamberty goodness, you may get a kick out of this thread I started a few years back.

This was my fathers riding around the city bike. Probably not ridden in over 40 years! It's taking up space and it needs to go.
Measurements: Top tube 33 1/2" tire dia. 27" Must pick up
Oh Geez. Right in my back yard. Priced low. My size, and I collect touring bikes. Here we go again!

And the very worst part of it? I haven't even yet taken possession of the bike I bought last week after it was pointed out on this thread. God help me.

Good point.

Come on out some time, and we'll ride up to Hurricane Ridge. Maybe I'll even be on a Purple Gitane when we go...

We drove that road on our last visit. I'd be glad to ride down it but would have to walk most of the climb unless I train for it by riding from here to there.

Flipped. This bike came up about a month ago for $150, out in one of the exurbs. Surprisingly, it lasted about three days at that price. Unfortunately I just couldn't find the time to get out there and pick it up. Believe it or no, I predict it'll sit there for a while at that price. There's little appreciation for old road steel around here.

You're very close to the Olympic Discovery Adventure Trail. We incorporated it into our tour of the Olympic Peninsula last summer and it was AWESOME. It pushed our touring bikes to the max but it was well worth it.

At this point I'd like to say that my remark about Port Angeles was meant in a kidding nature as in, "What could possibly be better to do anywhere than get another bike you don't need because it's quaint and too cool to pass up, regardless of where you find it?" I've been to the town a few times, both when I lived in Seattle and during a couple of trips back to the area since. It's the gateway to the Olympic Peninsula and, thanks to the ferries, Victoria BC and beyond. I'd love to return and will someday. That is all.

I'd never seen these before, inexpensive so I impulse purchased - Limited utility maybe but I like this sort of thing... Few more remaining for anyone interested...

Vintage Miyata SevenTen Road Bike ~62 cm frame - $150 (Cambridge)

This is a Miyata SevenTen road bike in good shape with fairly new tires. I am 6'3" and it fits me well but the seat could be lowered several inches, so I think the frame is around 62 cm. Tires were replaced recently.
$150 or best reasonable offer.

Vintage Basso Lotto 51cm Road Bike - $250

51cm square Columbus SLX frameset. Shimano 600 indexed group set. Matrix wheels with Mavic hubs look almost new. Brand new tires. Bought for my son but doesn't quite fit him and he doesn't love the color. These vintage steel frames ride wonderfully - if it was a bit bigger I'd keep for myself.

Great shape other than paint scrapes under top tube (from bike lock). Touch it up and have a great rider. No dents or dings.

A late 70's Italian Made bike in fine working order.
56cm X 56cm
Very clean, lightly used
Previous owner had it repainted and had his name written in cursive on the top tube along with "Campagnolo".
I found a nice Somec sticks and covered his name on the driveside.
All shown in the photos.
Most everything is Campy on the bike.
"Reasonable" offers will be considered.
Here's some history on Somec Bikes in this link;

Trek 620 for fair price. But please put some proper bars back on!

https://boston.craigslist.org/bmw/bi...740366900.html

nice Trek city bike - $233 (Waltham/Belmont/Watertown)

Yes it's for sale..........

83? Trek 620 in good/fair or better cindition. Reynolds 531
25-1/2" frame fits me perfectly at 5-11" - 6-4" (for skilled riders not wankers that need both feet on ground and 2" top tube clearance)
Fresh 28mm Gatorskin on rear
front is 28mm Soma tough tour

with drop bars if you wish, TTT French 22mm stem squaks, it will be changed out

This has been my favorite all rounder for years. Bought a 720 to buildup so this goes.

Fuji Touring Series IV, 1984,'85 or '86- I don't know how to tell these three years apart, other than looking at component date codes.

This one appears original, but for the Avocet saddle and Suntour bar-ends (appropriate choices anyway) and the goofy cable stop arrangement on the downtube. Were I obsessive, I would recognize the tire tread pattern as being that of original Fuji SCCR tires.

If somebody here picks this up, please post more about it on the forum!
