I picked up the same model bike a year or so ago for $25. I too pulled off the Belt saddle along with the Dura Ace crankset, front deraileur, rack, bike bag and bar end shifters. I replaced those parts with parts bin parts. I sold the bike for $125. Here is the bike as purchased and as sold.

The Legnano listed previously is also on the Phoenix Craigslist but is listed for $800.
Scam? Don’t know. Phoenix and Henderson NV are six hrs apart.

Not necessarily, though I did try to contact him through CL mail about his other bikes and never received a response.
I guess I should have called or sent him a text message.
I've met lots of folks in Las Vegas and area that travel back and forth to Phoenix and other AZ cities, so I don't think casting a wide net is uncommon.
In fact, I bought a bike a couple of days ago from a guy in Colorado who had CL ads in CO and Michigan using different text and different prices.
And he's a great bike guy.

Campy Sheriif Star Track Wheels - $450 (Carlsbad)

Comes in a complete bike.

I saw this bike while I was buying a titanium bike from the same seller. Seems to be in very good shape.

This is obviously not a high end bike, I just like it. Centurion Cavaletto mixte, in 1980's white and pink.

Overpriced Curiousity

Carnielli-made Lemond frame, $500. I never knew the frame builder for Bottecchia also built Lemonds. Terrible condition, lousy paint job, laughable price, but at least I learned something new about pre-1989 TDF victory Lemond frames.

EDIT: Just noticed the drive side rear dropout appears to be completely broken off. Wow!

Maybe not high end, but quality, fit and finish well above it's station and far better than many supposedly "better" bikes at the time.

^^^^^ +1; this thread is not about "high end", it's about C&V, and this bike definitely fits. A bit overpriced, but who doesn't love those Miami Vice colors.....

That seller is a big time flipper. Some of his stuff is crap. I don't think he even goes through the bikes. They all look like buy and sell.

^^^^^ Plus, even in good shape / tuned up, it's way overpriced. Judging from the most visible bits (crankset, brake levers, seatpost, etc.), it's a bike-boom gas-pipe bike. $20-40. And yeah, even from two time zones away, I've stumbled on enough of this guy's ads ("Call Marco to ride it away") to recognize him as a flipper.

Ha, he does get a good bike now and then, but most of his stuff is on the wacky side. He scraps for some of the bike shops in the area. His best bike was a Stowe that sat fir a while. Nothing gets proper rehab.

He should give away a free car stereo with all of his bikes. Or a Firenze ...
