Gravel Ride Pics
I'd sure like to see where everyone rides.
Is there already a thread? If not then post here.

I rarely remember to take photos when I'm out...This one was from a race last fall, out near Beaumont, Kansas.

I am terrible with taking pics in the moment.
Here are a few.
Connector trail bypassing paved roads in a small Iowa town to get from gravel to gravel.
This is somewhere in central Missouri.
Random broken old rail bridge crossing a creek in west central Iowa

Here's one of 'em. I haven't edited down the others to a reasonable 1-3 minutes.
Had two or three flats that day. Turned out to be a loose valve core in a new tube. LBS fixed it for me gratis, including a trial squirt of Slime to see if I liked it, since these cyclocross tires are lightweight and grippy but puncture prone. Had about half a dozen actual puncture flats in December-January, mostly grass burrs, one shard of glass.

I found my gravel road closed, bridge out. Rather than back tracking, I found a way over what had been a drivable bridge, then continued on to Stearman Field (a good destination for lunch). Benton, Kansas

I've ridden the road from Squamish to Whistler but never on the trail. I'll be exploring the trail this summer.

Well, its winter, so I have a lot of snow pictures of the bike with studded tires (sometimes riding across lakes, sometimes fat bike trails, sometimes just off on my own). It is breathtaking riding in the winter, and I love that there is zero mud, and zero insects.
Other photos:
Other photos:
- Night riding
- doing laps on a frozen lake
- experimenting to see how deep snow I can bike in
- Single tracking
- sunsets
- fall colors

Yeah, it opened up a whole new world of riding for me. Most of my rides I just do from home. I hated spending 3 hours round trip driving to go mountain biking, and just plain old road riding was kind of lame if I wasn't in a fast paceline. With the right bike, we can explore all kinds of stuff!

Laurel Hill County Park, Mount Pleasant, SC (outside of Charleston). This is just a small park with multiple trail loops but with the longest being 5 miles. So not a light of mileage but if I just want to get a short ride in I'll just do a loop or two on the trails here then go out on the roads nearby for a bit. These aren't my pictures just ones I pulled off the internet but they're accurate. I'll have to locate some photos as well of Francis Marion Forest just north of me.

Champion of the Low End
That was the Gravel Grovel this past November. That's a photo of the 60-mile start, and I did the 20-mile; it was a blast! Would love to try the 60 this year. I would like to do the Death March, but the Melting Mann and Barry Roubaix are the two weekends following.
