a k-edge chain catcher.. since the one that trek provides is a useless POS, resulting in a damaged, unridable, frame. Won't have the same problem on the next frame (which is NOT a trek).
A complete component set of ultegra 6800s for the new build.

... an old Avocet leather "touring" saddle for 3 bucks at St. Vinnie's. The leather is in very good shape, and it should last a long time.
I've had the racing version of this saddle for 35 years, and I love it, but have to admit that at my advanced age, a hard seat is a little bit too hard after 30 or 40 miles.

Four 26" tubes, another 1995 Schwinn frame (springer) and 50s Tiger parts to complete all but the wheels.

I seem to be developing a habit of buying stuff for bikes I don't have yet. Thinking I'll use these in a wheel build for a SSCX/city bike type of thing after I move.

I just bought a shim for 1" to 1 1/8" for my crappy but decent for what it is RST fork on my Klein. Right now I have a can shim in there but I decided to do it right and just use the can for now so I can get the bike back to awesome. Just need to replace all my cables and housing and get that god awful Acera derailleur off and put a proper XT on.

Not just period correct but NOS/NIB stuff from an actual Schwinn dealer which is stuff that isn't made anymore and cannot be easily found. She is able to source some really rare stuff. Heck if I had the money I would be rolling in Cook Brothers Cranks and Stems and some Paul derailleurs. I remember a customer brought in a bike with some CBR cranks and I was mesmerized by them, such a odd but sexy crank!

It is super nice and I owe you a debt of gratitude for mentioning R+E Cycles.
I went with True Temper S3.
Dura Ace crank spider hits the chainstay ever so slightly. I might relieve the edge of the spider with a dremel but will have an issue if the frame flexes. Not sure how it will pan out and might need a different crankset. That and a seatpost collar are the only things stopping me from taking a personal day, completing the build and testing it out.
@bonsai171, it is PPG automotive paint "15008 Dark Blue Solid" at https://rodbikes.com/articles/paint/paint-colors.html.
I'll have some pics after it is built up.

A little.
I can't see the "Dimes" usually visible with TIG welding. Yet it's not built up and rounded into a filet. So I'm guessing it's just brazed with the necessary amount for strength. If that's true, it's rather uncommon. The joints look quite tidy in a minimalist kinda way.
