An air compressor is an absolute godsend when seating tubeless beads.

That or a lifetime supply of c02 cartridges and patience.

My dumbarse just bought an SLX M7000 gruppo because I am stupid and dumb. Got a 1X with cranks, 3 chainrings (of different sizes) derailleur, cassette, boost hubs (front and rear) and i-spec shifter. I am too tired to find pictures of each item but you can search and see the stuff in all its glory but I just don't have the chain or brakes/rotors yet

I now have to get one of those there slidey forks and put it on a moun-tain bicycle frame. Probably going to be Specialized Chisel only because bossman was like "you should own more bikes from brands we sell" and I was like "whatever" then I saw the Chisel frameset in that purple/pink pixel camo I was like "schwing"!!! https://s7d5.scene7.com/is/image/Specialized/211158?$small$ so maybe for January I might have me one of them there moun-tain bi-cycles the kids are all talking about. A new pair of road cycling shoes, Fizik R5B Uomo in an eBay auction for $69. Hopefully they’ll fit, since I’ve never owned that brand. Normal online price is about $60 more. It’s been over a decade since I last bought any road cycling shoes.

I've used a Timbuk2 Mission commuter backpack for the last 2 years and it has been completely trashed. It ripped a few times, so I used duct tape to repair it, then more tape to repair the duct tape. lol. It was a nice surprise to have the Brooks (running) rep hook me up with a new pack. So far I like it a lot. I wish it had a chest strap, but I can do without. The increase in storage space is really nice.

Ordered a K-Edge out front mount for my Garmin + has GoPro mount underneath that I am using for my new Light & Motion light that came in today. So far, it is alright. Mount mutes out the Garmin beeps almost entirely so that is an adjustment. Looked at making the move to road pedals and shoes for my road bike, along with a possible upgrade to Di2.

Di2 is the way to go! I have had it for months and I love it. Shifting is fun but is quick and precise. Plus the brake levers are just brake levers no getting all wonky because they also perform shifting. I love love love love Di2 and if I could afford it I would have gone Di2 on my upcoming mountain bike build and probably build up a gravel/adventure bike with Di2

new (red) grips and a black WTB Rocket saddle for my mtb. Gonna install the grips tonight, had black on there before, could be a bit of a risk, but hey you only live once.

for reference here is the frame:

i'll post up some pics later

Didn't work for me.

The bike has 50-34 cranks and an 11-36 cassette. The chain was either too tight in the big/big combination or droopy in the small/small combo.

It was to trying to solve a problem with chain skipping in the rear on downshifts anyways, which I have since diagnosed as a defective bearing and ground up freewheel guts which American Classic is servicing under warranty.

LMK if you want it. PM your address and I'll get it out to you no charge.

I bought pedals and a chainguard for the gfs bike. Need to get brake pads too, the ones on it are leaving black goo on the rims.

I want to put hand brakes on my bike direct bike so that may be my next purchase.

^^ I have a WU111 wireless unit in the seat tube of my Niner.

Set the security code for it via USB/E-Tube and never connected to it via Bluetooth or ANT+. Not once. In hindsight I should have just gotten a longer wire and used the money for a nice night out or something. For me it was totally not needed.

The bar end junction is way cool though. Should make for a very clean installation. Pics please.
