I love my bike. This photo is a couple months old though. 2001 LeMond Zurich reynolds 853, I now have a King Ti headset, and Nokon cables. It's 9 spd D.A. w/ti bolts, Zero Gravity brakes, FSA Team issue crankset w/fibre lyte rings, Easton SLX fork, Cinelli ram bar/stem combo, Speedplay x-1 Ti pedals, SLR seat and Alien Carbon post, the wheels are really a lot better than I could have imagined-Open Pro rims, Hugi 240s hubs w/Ti spokes and 47g p/p ti skewers, rolling on Conti supersonics. As you see it it weighs exactly 15.9 lbs. The lightest steel bikes I have seen in a while.

That is *really* nicely set up! I've had my '04 Zurich for over a month now and I'm really happy with my choice, too. Your set-up is probably close to four pounds lighter, I've seen that crank and fork on a Cervelo (I think) at my LBS (LBS owner's new ride) and it was pretty light. Not familiar with the Cinelli or brakes...9 spd D.A. is a nice choice, who needs 10 anyway?

how does the fork ride? last time I checked, the lemonds used 45mm rake, and the easton fork is 43...did you notice a diff?

How are those chainrings working? Have many miles on them, or are they new? I've heard they last about 700mi in dry conditions.

To Phatman, about the fork rake: I must admit that the fork rake thing is a bit too technical for me, but I much prefer these forks to the stock ones that came on the bike, and they are 198 grams lighter!

To Bigfloppyllama, whoever told you that these rings last about 700 miles was bang on! I figure I have put about 1200 kms on them. Although they still roll and shift fine, close inspection reveals a lot of the teeth on the 53 are worn down. I will use them next year, but only at races. Hopefully for a psychological advantage if nothing else.

I am currently installing a set of Storck strong arm cranks w/White industries Ti BB, and TA Specialite AL rings, that will drop the weight another 200 grams, I am excited.

An 04' Zurich, is that a 1/2 carbon 1/2 Ti or steel? I love the new spine frames!!! The fork you've seen on the Cervelos is most likely the Superlight which strangly is about 50 grams heavier than the one I have. But your right it is the same crank arms. I compared mine actually to the Cervelo R2.5 at the local cervelo dealer in Toronto and I felt like Knig of the world when mine was almost a pound lighter, and I'm riding a 4 lb frame!!!! See ya

Cannondale R2000 2001 model. FUll Ultegra, Cinelli bars, SLR saddle (ouch!) and Spinergy SPOX rims. Its a bullet but only because it has Ryan Baileys signature (2 time Athens gold medallist) on the downtube. Looking at getting a TCR zero soon, the 'Dale will be my hack bike.

Someone on weight weenies had given them a trial run and got just about 700 miles from them. I think they'd probably last a lot longer on a time trial bike due to the decreased amount of shifting between inner and outer chainrings (which probably causes most of the wear). They do look nice though, great looking bike as well.
