Thanx ole buddy! The sticker on seat tube says "triple butted chro-mo" and on the fork says "Cr-Mo chrome moly complete fork". I like the wheelset suggestion and just may pop them on and see. Good to hear from you, I hope all is well!

The red one is a Raleigh RX Team, a cyclocross bike with SRAM Force 1x11. The amazing thing is it's almost as fast as my road bikes

47p2 - This was June 2015 when I did a sportive called the 3 pistes in Scotland. 102 miles with 10,000 feet of elevation. It was 5°C, it snowed, rained, gale force winds, possibly the worst 100 mile ride I've ever done
That was a heck of a ride. You have a really nice bike collection there.

Here's one I built up a few years ago, but decided to sell when someone made me an offer I couldn't refuse
1999 Paul Donohue built Graham Weigh with Reynolds 853 tubing, 2006 Shimano Ultegra 6600 groupset, Ultegra 6700 wheelset, Corima Ellipse seatpost

Nice bike. I have a problem with bikes. It seems like every time I convince myself that I am going to add another to the collection. All is well for 2 weeks then I sell something and get back to my built in limited number. It's crazy. I even have a bike stand in a room with NO bike on it. I don't have the same problem with wheels. I have a spare set of Fulcrum Racing 3's and a set of Shimano RS21's in Mavic wheel bags. I even want to order another set of the RS21's just because I can get them cheap. I keep talking myself out of buying them just because I fear my next road bike will have those disc brake thingies (LOL).

Haha, the problem with wheels are they go out of fashion so quickly, 11 speed this last/year and it will be 12 next year or the year after. I'm awaiting a new set of wheels for the red Raleigh CX bike, it was supplied with carbon tubular disc wheels but as I use it mostly on hard paved surfaces and with the prospect of having to carry and change a tub in the middle of nowhere then ride home with a half glued tyre I decided to buy some clincher wheels

My offering is modest.
I'm 63 now. I traded my last road bike in in 1993 for this PDG Paramount mtb... which I sold in 2006 to a co-worker. Last year, he asked me if I wanted the bike back. I said, "Sure! How much?"
He said he wanted it out of his garage, and gave it to me! So, I had a bike shop freshen the tune, replace a bad cable, and true the wheels. I replaced the rotten tires with some narrower slicks, replaced the mtb flat bar with a 30mm offset, wider one, new bottle and bracket, bar mirror, and I was in business. The bike has a moly frame (Pacific rim) and modestly equipped with Shimano Deore and Richey components. It's been flawless for me. I haven't been on a pedal powered bike in a decade, and I'm going to fall just short of 1,000 miles this year.
Rollin' large for a little over $100!
