Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Some too-good-to-pass-up wheels from Nashbar for an MTB I'm building and a 9spd cassette from RollCNY (thanks!).

Same here Vesteroid, I picked up a Kurt Kinetic Road Machine. Working odd hours its not always easy to get workouts in during daylight hours.

I bought two of these 36g Specialized Rib cages for my new bike. I was going to get white, but I figured they would get dirty quickly. Both of my bottles were very snug.

Stopped by Performance Bikes in Virginia Beach looking for a set of tires today. To my surprise every tuesday from noon to 2pm they offer a "lunch time shop & save" that gives you 10% off everything except bikes. Also found out they give a 10% military discount on everything in the store all the time, which is great to know since I'm a vet.

I bought a set of Vittoria Rubino Pro Slick tires and some shot blocks.

Web and store price is $49.99 that was already discounted to $34.99. When I made it to checkout the register price took off another $5.00 on each making them $29.99 each then they took off the lunchtime 10% making them $26.99 each.

The total for the pair after tax was $56.68. Not a bad deal...

The shot blocks were $1.79 each after the 10% off...

Black

Yellow one

A pair of red ones and a pair of white ones to replace my now 3 year old pairs.

A pair of yellow ones to go with the jersey above. FAIL as they are very different shades of yellow.

im impressed...with chainlove.

I ordered a Padrone jersey size L, since i have a Roma L which fits perfect. Well...Padrone L is actually more like Roma XL. Emailed Chainlove about it, and they will exchange for an M! i was so sad, and now im super psyched specially after ordering:

Capos SC-12 bib shorts (perfect match for pardron jersey)

also on the way!:

Elite 2XU cycling shorts
PI gloves
Garmin Edge500!!!!!!!

am i a clothoholic?...

You better like rice. I think 99% of the items in that book have rice in them. Some look very good. Need to actually plan out meals with it now.

Big Blue Book of Bicycle Repair. I want to learn to do maintenance, repair and upgrade components myself. Husband is a mechanic and I'm sure he will help me learn.
