Swapped bars on my beater and rode around the city on Saturday.
Then I did my first road ride/climb. I bought this bike about 6 months ago and have never ridden it. Sunday was it's maiden voyage. Did 48 miles, climbed 2,200 feet, and it kicked my ass. Way different than what I'm used to. Getting the hang of when to shift is something I'm still working on. Getting used to squeezing brakes is also something I felt uncomfortable with at first. It's so weird to not be able to slow yourself down by back pedalling/resisting. One thing's for certain though, bombing hills while coasting is super fun.

Camped at Ainsworth State Park over the holiday weekend, had to stop at Multnomah Falls on the way for an obligatory photo.

All along the road heading into the trails there were signs saying not to feed the Fox, I have to assume it was a Fox. As I rode past it I wanted to get its attention so I whistled at it. I didn't realize that the shirtless construction workers building what I believe was a ranger station, would think I was cat calling them. I made sure to ride by them a bit quicker on my way back. lol.

Took a ride through the country today on the road bike -- didn't feel like fighting the wind on the fixed gear.
