To each his own but quitting was one of the best things I ever did for myself.

Too cool. Like something pulled out of a Swiss watch.
I got a new fork that I have to get cut but soon as that's done, I get to use my new chilly weather riding gear.
First time using lycra/chamois pay so it should be interesting....just walking around the house made me feel like I was wearing an industrial maxi-pad but I'm sure it will get a lot more comfortable after breaking-in/getting on the bike.

my cheap double pannier broke earlier this week (went grocery shopping and placed a 5 litre bottle of water in one of the paniers, and when I got home, I realised that the water was too heavy for the thin plastic, and the bottom had a big tear)
looked at panniers on ebay, and wanted something better than plastic/nylon and spotted a set of Carradine Overlander panniers 2nd hand in reasonable condition .... Hand made in the UK and these are over 50 litre capacity
I waited patiently and bid in the last few seconds and won the auction for £20 plus £5.80 shipping.
I'm well pleased as similar from the same company cost over £100 (I don't think that this exact model is made anymore, but the newer model costs £120) ... these will clean up nicely

There's a balance between smoking yourself useless and smoking just enough so you forget about your legs.
Bike related stuff is crabon ritchey 710mm bars and a setback seatpost for the MTB. New stem will be next most likely.

If your bolt weighs over an ounce than your bike will be too heavy and you then might as well just ride a Huffy, it will probably weigh the same ; )

Luckily, there are no Huffy bikes in the state of Washington, they were banned years ago. So, I am stuck riding a 20 pound pig of a MTB.....
