In this case I learned something more about the make, and the offeror in particular, so thank you for that!
Me, too. It's interesting, and was built in AZ where I spent a number of years.

Btw, more digging seems to show that the pic I provided is of the same bike, by the same guy. He also states that he got the frame without decals, contacted the builders, got decals and put them on. Apparently they told him his supposedly 1 of 1 frame was called an 'Oscar'. In his pics on the UK site album, the frame is wearing both blue and black Fishlips Toxic Tuna decals. Rather confusing. I guess they gave him color choices and he used them all. One pic shows all black with a green seat tube decal!

Over the years he's changed components, which is not surprising - I'm sure MTB guys are just as interested in upgrading as we roadies

No issue with your post from this end - I was just thinking it a bit funny that the guy was so in-your-face about it being 1 of 1, no lowballers, etc. once I learned how long he's been trying to get rid of it.

I'd love to have that, wish it were local. Looks like a perfect size for me...Anyone want to facilitate ?

His unprovoked defensiveness should have been a "tell" to me that all was not right in "seller-land".

Thanks for the additional information!

Still and all, a nice bike that I wouldn't kick out of bed for eating tuna on crackers and having fishlips.

Bottecchia Mixte

It looks about 19" so pretty small. Cottered steel crank indicative of low end 70s vintage. I am finishing up building a similar Torpado. It is 21". I can post a pic later if you want.

1992 Bridgestone XO-1 $2000

This looks like a pretty clean example and I think these are fairly desirable, but I think the seller is dreaming with that price...

Those orange and purple XO-1's have a cult-like following, but I agree that he will miss his mark due to the brakes. It will still sell for a good price if he is willing to accept offers.

Gorgeous...optomistic, but I've seen bikes I've liked less sell for more.

Something for you Italianoids out there. Help the "uncool dad" get a bike to his liking.

https://richmond.craigslist.org/bik/...237108698.html

Cool Bianchi Campione d'Italia bike - $250 (Richmond (bellevue))

Newport at Greycourt

condition: good
make / manufacturer: Bianchi
model name / number: Campione d'Italia

I got this from a friend a few years ago... I don't really know too much about it. It rides nice (although one of the gears is a bit sticky). From the sounds of it and the little bit of research I have done, it was made around 1997 or so. I took it down to a local bike shop and they said the frame is in good shape and its 56cm. It has campagnolo mirage shifters, derailuers, cranks, brakes etc. I'm not a serious bike rider, and would really like a hybrid or something more in the "uncool dad bike" category. Asking 250 OBO

Just as a heads up... I forgot to take a picture of the entire bike, so I found a picture online that looks extremely similar and am posting that until I get the actual overview photo of the bike I am selling. The detail shots are of the actual bike I am selling, just not the first overview shot (although it is very similar)

The Eclipse Pro rack is probably worth that price, but it's installed backwards.

That is a great deal. So good that I even briefly considered if I should ask my wife's 75 year old aunt to try to pick it up.

Hate when this happens - seller gets his asking price, then decides he wants more. If one is looking to hold an auction, there are sites for that.

I go back and forth on this...a CL posting isn't a contract with an individual, and a whole lot of people here brag about getting over on some guy who didn't know a colnago was worth over $75. The guy realized his asking price was too low and didn't want to be one of those stories...I'm not sure I think that he's wrong.

Oh, I don't mind raising it from a bargain basement price to something realistic. It's the $25 jump that gets my goat.

Edit: Nevermind, I see the $700 figure quoted by pedalnmetal was simply rounding up. Easing those hackles down
