Is it just me, or does the fork look bent? I wonder if the boulder in the first photo is what they smacked the front wheel into the very moment before they decided to sell the bike! Also, where are the shifters on this “Very Fast Classic” with its rusted out chain?”

Could be the angle of the shot, and that the steerer is slightly turned but I think it looks bent. 100% agreement though that the price is right for parts. If the fork is in fact straight, then it’s a screaming deal, especially for the area!

You've never kept goats, and yet you preach the gospel of continually needing more wire. It is indeed an ongoing battle. Preach brother!

Though I have never kept goats (and how did you know that, anyway?) I have researched on the internets the keeping of goats and decided I neither wanted to be a full-time goat-sitter. Nor did I want to hire one, and so my five acres of understory shall remain uneaten (by goats).

One "I" Off

Rossin Road Bike. Great for new road bikers. Will trade. Shimano parts - $350 (Newport News)

"bicycle type: road
condition: good
frame size: 29 in
make / manufacturer: Rossin
wheel size: 26 in
I bought this bike so I could see if I wanted to get into road biking, and to get some exercise. Selling to exchange for a mountain bike. It has Shimano 105 components including the front and rear derailleurs, front and rear brakes, and more. I bought and installed Shimano Claris 8 speed shifters which are easy to use and work amazingly. Brakes work great. Everything on this bike works fine. I am 6 foot 1 and 215 lbs so it is meant for someone of similar build for maximum comfort and efficiency. Will have it tuned and cleaned up before purchase. Also have a pair of size 10.5-11 Shimano shoes that work with pedals shown in the picture. Feel free to ask any questions you have. Price is negotiable. Seven 5 Seven Eight 9 Seven 32 six four"

https://norfolk.craigslist.org/bik/d...660251785.html

(That's a "Rossini" not a "Rossin". Seven pictures in the ad and only this one poorly lit photo showing the actual decal from a disadvantaged angle: rather rude.)

And now for something completely different!!!
This is why people who eat a lot of acid shouldn't have access to a welder

Looks like front frame was once nice bike. It has some nice lugs and has Campagnolo shifters and 600 brakes but now it's a true $3 bike.

Do you really want to sell it?

https://minneapolis.craigslist.org/r...649260750.html

Probably not vintage. Hard to tell, though. He writes, "2012 year wife used on MS150", so I suppose the bike itself could be any year.

Perhaps there is simply an extra zero in the price here? If that''s the case, it appears to be a reasonably well kept Varsity.
