the photo of the rear wheel hints at what is missing: vintage Santanas (like ours) had a rear drum (drag) brake.
Handy for long descents.

Shouldn't have done it and don't have the $$$$$$ to fix it, again, ef me.
Did have some other recent ones work out ok though so it all comes out in the wash but man this bad one is really bad when I needed it least.
