Wow, thanks for sharing this find!

Had not before seen an Araya this nice. And in concours condition no less.

Don't miss the odd pedal reflector arrangement; a rider would not want to pedal through many corners with that low clearance...

Yeah, possible original condition notwithstanding, I'd have to lose that pedal reflector arrangement, for sure.

But.... its not out of line for its low opening $1k + $200 shipping. Might be sacrilegious but another seller still has this 650b French Urago tandem in CA... super cheap at $375. Could almost do some parts swapping for now just to get the Herse rolling.

Sort of a forgotten and fairly unusual to see today Sekai 4000 Professional. Likely made with Tange Champ 1. Ideal period build. Not exactly cheap BIN $600, but its a great Japanese machine. Depending on the wheels, guessing the weight is 21 - 22 lbs.

Not sure what year this one is, but the later ones (I had an '83) were Tange 2.

Darn, too bad I don't have a bike for that dark wheel look.

That would make sense though I'm not sure of the sellers posting, only going by description. Andrew at Yellow Jersey / Madison WI is the goto for something like this.

>>edit: found this excellent source of Sekai https://www.ece.ubc.ca/~gillies/sekai/
From the directory and for the year I would agree its Champion 2.

Anyways, found this image -late 70's Sekai.

1981 Trek 710 frame/fork - $180

The seller doesn't know the model number, but based on the serial number, this is a 710.

This is a great frame. I built one up for a friend. A really nice ride.

Not my bag, but I know that there are folks that LOVE these:

Moulton deluxe 4 speed 1964 - $550

make / manufacturer: Moulton
model name / number: Deluxe
This is a very nice example of a Series 1. Rear forks were strengthened. Custom alloy wheels with Campy large flange front hub and original Sturmey Archer FW four speed. Stronglight crankset. Primo Comet tires. Soubitez generator lights. Rear rack is included, of course - I took it off for re-painting, but have not had an opportunity to do it. No pedals included. 550.00 with plastic Cinelli saddle, 500.00 without.

Thanks,
-John
