I don’t have a pic of me and my bike yet, but my profile is a pic of the monstrosity of a project I just bought! With zero experience. Woo! I’ll add a photo of me, likely crying with a bottle of champagne, attempting to understand how to fix something on it, when I can post pics. 😂

6 yrs ago at age 55. After a 25 yr hiatus I dusted off my 83 Trek 760 that was hanging in the garage. I re-greased most everything and re-joined my biking buddies from the 80’s who started riding again a couple of years earlier.

My pictures and posts are out of order. The bottom picture shows my De Rosa SLX as purchased. The top picture shows the current status.
I added a Campy aero seatpost, Brooks Swallow saddle and Campy C Record Syncro downtube shifters (8 Sp), C Record brake levers, Conti Grand Prix Classic 700c x 25 tires. The Nuevo Record pedals are from my 70’s Lygie Pro (my 1st Italian Bike), the Silca frame pump was used on my 83 Trek 760. I added a copper bell.....it’s the 1st bell I’ve ever had on any bike! I wanted a more vintage look. I just got some Record C aero pedals with XL clips off eBay.
I picked up the De Rosa SLX in the front off Craigslist last year for my 60th birthday. The De Rosa Alumino in the back I bought a few years ago. The DE Rosa SLX was sold as shown with chain, cables and bar tape missing. The bike is 99% completed now.

Dayton Roadmaster c1955. UK London, Park Royal.
I posted me with my Freddie Grubb Meteor (1955), (London Maker) a little earlier in this Blog but here is my Dayton Roadmaster (circa1955) (also a London UK maker) that is currently undergoing restoration by myself.
They called it an 'Amalgam' frame which was lugless and tubes were electrically butt welded together, makes for a very light frame which had some success in UK racing in the 1950's.

After over a decade (quite a bit over...) I have my Kona Jake the Snake back together.
Jake responded well to the brifter flush... I think. I have my bike back together and I'll probably get a ride in tomorrow to fine tune everything.

Looks like the precursor to today's light weight TIG welded steel frames.

Road Bikes
These are at least 5 of the 8 road bikes. '86 Paramount in Emerald Green is the first of the collection and the only one I'm the original owner of. The others were all built from a collection of parts obtained from Ebay and other retail sources and are true Frankenbikes.
