Englewood, CO Facebook (yes, yes, I know it's Facebook), but it's a Paramount at $700. Some rust in the other pics. Posted 3 days ago when I found the ad under Hobbies and Bikes for Denver, CO.

Buy it, sell off all the single speed bits, and build it back up as a nice road bike!

https://boston.craigslist.org/gbs/bi...627497610.html

1981 Peter Mooney 50cm single speed bicycle - $600 (JP)

Vintage 1981 Peter Mooney 50cm (50cm seat tube, 52cm top tube) built as fixed gear "town" bicycle for sale. Peter Mooney is still making custom frames today in Belmont, MA (Wheelworks). Very classy ride, this bike is built with a combination of original Campagnolo and modern parts that work together nicely, both aesthetically and mechanically speaking. Parts include Brooks Cambium C17 saddle, Campagnolo headset, Bontrager Satellite handlebar, Ergon Biokork grips, Alex cartridge-bearing-flip-flop-track rear wheel with Surly 19T track cog and Surly lock-ring, Mavic Open Pro SUP rim with Campagnolo hub front wheel, both with Continental 700 x 28 Gatorskin tires, original Campagnolo crankset with 48T track chainring. All original braze-ons and guides are still on the frame if one wanted to build this as a geared road bike again. The frame and fork wear the original paint, and show signs of use, with some light rust spots, at some point a paint job might be nice; but the frame and fork are sound and straight. Please check out pictures, as they tell the whole story. $600

Schwinn Le Tour II. Very pretty, and looks just about mint to me. How I wish I had bought a Voyageur that was for sale here about six months ago. What's the opposite of buyer's remorse?

1981 Specialized Sequoia -- $245

https://portland.craigslist.org/clc/...645848243.html

I don't think this is a Konno-built Sequoia (based on the seat stay caps), but it's the right year and with only one picture you never know. It's at least a fantastic bike for the price.

Even better than the road bike, IMO, that's obviously a touring model. The listing is gone now so I assume some lucky individual snapped this up. And are those "suicide" levers on the brakes? I've never seen them on brakes with rubber hoods before.

I was gifted an identical Le Tour in Baltimore the early 90s, which was my main form of transportation for years. Excellent and seemingly indestructable bike!

Yipes!
If that were my size I'd be begging for a facilitator.

The paint job alone is probably worth more than the ask. Joe Bell is one of the best.

this one looks quite original. They are such well behaved on the road. I have had mine for awhile and currently putting it through a town bike rebuild. Orange Le Tour II are worth a buyers consideration... but that price is just wack!

Tx!

No, reached out to the guy and was going to go look at it but he told me he had an offer of $2700 from a guy in NM. I told him to jump on it as his $3K was on the moon.
Ad is gone now so it must have flew.

Congrats!! Glad I could be of secondary aid to @jet sanchEz and get it on your radar. I just picked up a sweet deal on some 7800-era super light carbon-aluminum Dura-Ace wheels, so I am super pumped about them. They're on the Prologue now and we're knocking on the door of 20.0 lb or less (fully rideable, of course). The test ride was very good. I'm really going to like these wheels!
