WTG, Levi!!!
He really did look like LA coming up to the finish in the head-on view. Eerie.

Any guesses as to how many seconds of actual racing were shown in the last hour of VS coverage? Notice I said seconds not minutes. Oh well, better than nothing.

WTG Levi!!!!!
kinda pissed at Phil though. Like cycling doesnt have enough problems without the time keepers being called out. I wish he would have taken the "young unknown rider giving his all his first time on the world stage" stance instead of the time keeper must be wrong. Right now cycling really needs hero stories not screw up stories. <rant off>
On a good note though, levi's ride was exciting enough to have me yelling at the top of my lungs for him !!!!!!! My wife is looking at me like I am crazy I was also excited to hear the crowd was over 300,000 on the same day as the daytona 500, maybe sponsers and networks will pay attention.

The image quality seemed a lot better than last year. I hope they will have the same for all stages.
Too bad they have all these advertising spots for wresling, boxing, and fighting. What kind of the message is this? On one side they promote a healthy sport and way of life, on the other they advertise "sportmen" who finish brain dead before they turn 40.

You should watch it on Euro TV. You would be thankful for Bull and Fish.....
Just think (Cycling was so common place that the whole fam was watching) You get ALL sorts of stuff being advertised. Stuff that is not near as cool as Bulls and Fish....

I'm watching my tape (still haven't upgraded to Tivo) of the "coverage" on versus and nearly 30 minutes into it and still no actual coverage of today's race.
Glad I decided to go watch live. I'll be watching on Mt. Tam tomorrow.
By the way, I don't follow NASCAR, but Infineon puts on 2 great bicycle racing series, (4 weeks long) both on Thursday nights, one in April and one in September in addition to the NRC race in July.
I love racing on that circuit course.

Or god for bid be interviewed. Before I am to harsh on Versus for that it could have been a time issue but I really wanted to hear from Jason Donald.

Hey, "somebody" stole my avatar from the "other" forum. Or perhaps it's just a coincidence.

Today on VeloNews they had a story about making the Tour of Cali the fourth grand tour, with 300,000 people in attendance it seems that there is enough public interest for this to happen. What would the organizers have to do to make this a reality?
VeloNews Story
Are we really arguing over a forum avatar**********??
