Several things recently,
Nice metal repro caps, neither the Campy or MKS wrench fit at all. I was able to get them on tight enough by hand to not be able to get them off by hand.
Long Wera #2 Phillips instead of the $34 Shimano JIS
And an excellent condition Open Pro Wheelset from CL to replace the cracked rear on the big silver Merz that rode so well compared to the Dyads I ended up putting on it.

Ben,
That was way back in 2015 for a junior tournament where I did the set up and worked to get the tournament to run smoothly for the players. It was just part of the work I did as a coach at the time. Now it is a new school; Depauw where I will being doing the same kinds of things. I didn't think anyone could even read that text. It was covering the names and addresses of the sender and me. Har! I trust the rivers aren't treating you too badly. Smiles, MH

No rain here.....Jade, Rebecca and I are taking a well deserved break and traveling.

The cap wrenches can be cocked at an angle and I may work them over to get there, unlike DD, I'm not thrilled with them but they are cool so we'll see.

For when I begin slowing down as a result of gettin' old:
God willing, it'll be another decade before I'll need to press it into service!
A second chainring also arrived today - but can't share a pic of it yet. It's slated for a project to be named later, and I don't want to let the cat outta the bag...

The perfect finishing touch for a fully-pantographed Colnago:
Received a nice orange and grey Quest jersey, too - but since I've lost 25lbs in the past three months, it's too big!
I'm gonna put it up in the 'Pay it Forward' or "For Sale" thread, as it was only about 20 bux with shipping. No great loss.

A good day for me in the post office box. I got a third hand tool, and a Campy brake bolt from Shop Dog Cycles. They posted a 27% discount on Flea Bay and I looked at a few offerings. Looks like they have over 1000 items on sale right now. Also had a friend drop off a new Sam Moore CD. Good tools and good tunes! Smiles, MH

Delivered by Saudi Post these past couple of days:
Brake rotors - lots and lots of brake rotors. Four, to be exact; all 160mm. Three brand new and one barely touched by what might have been a pair of new resin pads. That one's already on the Jetstream's rear wheel:
Matches up nicely with the 170mm (that's not a typo) rotor on the front wheel:
Why? a. Because I can 😁 b. Because a 180mm won't clear the fork; and c. I've already got me my own little stockpile of 170mm rotors, so I'm all set for a while 🙂
Shimano brake adapter/caliper bolts that I ordered for... no reason at all:
I did have something in mind when I ordered them, but some later developments negated the need for them to begin with. In any case, they're here and they're handy.
And, finally, one of my biggest cycling-related eff-ups yet... my Deore 5100 shifter/RD:
This is actually my second group - which is where I effed up. I ordered the first one to replace the 8-speed Acera on my Jetstream. Before I even thought about seeing if it would even fit, I doubled down and ordered a second one to replace the (perfectly fine) 11-speed L-twoo A9 on my Hemingway. Problem is... just look how gigantic this thing is! When I tried to install the derailleur, the cage hit the tire - and the floor - before it went into third gear. So now I've ended up with not one, but two rear derailleurs that I can't use on the bikes I wanted to use them on, which is why I am what my user title says I am 😁
All is not lost, though; I can sell them locally - probably at a profit - or I can just use them to convert my two FXs to 1x... 🤔

New bicycle bag. Can’t have too many bags, and I’ve never tried a frame mounted one such as this. Most are very small, but this seems a useful size. Should hold tools, and a beverage or snack for break time on longer rides

Didn't realize there were Campy until they arrived (bag was open upon arrival). The bag wasn't in the eBay photo, and they were listed as unbranded (they very well may be).

Somebody said applying some wet+dry to the tip to remove snaggy sharp edges is a good idea.

The first bit(s) of a future 'it only has to be beautiful, Italian and from the fifties' project which might or might not happen. The two together costed less than taking a deep breath including post from Italy so I couldnt say no. Chrome Cinelli if the bike/frame I'll get will have nice patina or rat rod Ambrosio Super lusso in case if it will be a pile o junk or supernice (since it can be polished but I won't chrome the Cinelli).
Could someone confirm of the brown thingie is for keeping shopping bags in place?
