Pedal assist, throttle, or both?

My eBike has both and I think that's the way to go. I rarely ever use the throttle but I like knowing it's there if I ever do need it. I use pedal assist ("PAS") 99.9% of the time as I want the exercise and expect to do my part in the ride. Both have their places, and why limit yourself if you don't have to? People say the throttle is very handy in getting a quick acceleration from traffic lights and that makes sense. You could also go all-out on the first part of a ride and really put pedal to the metal and then save the use of throttle to haul your tired carcass home or back to your starting point.

I've found it saves my battery to run in a low assist level and then use the throttle on demand. I get much better range with that method.
