It's funny... after a tour, when I strip the racks/bags of my bike I HATE the way it feels.
There's something about a well packed up rig that just exudes stability and self-reliance.

Here is one of me and my Surly Long Haul Trucker, I have some cheepo front bags untill I can afford the GT-54 Arkel's and move my 42's to the front. I also have updated the racks I have the Surly Nice Rack on the front and rear... They can hold anything, even a fat girl *yes I tested it* This picture was from the First day of RAGBRAI 2005.... The dead fox was complements of my Friend who decided to put them in my rear bags.

for me is the perfect setting, I can go to British Columbia on my motorcycle take my two legged girlfriend with me and her bike, enjoy the trip and then ride the bicycles at the trails what we really like.

I can also lane split with the bikes on the motorbike (since I live in california) and get everywere in no time with out really dealing with traffic jams and thinks like that, plus I don't need to chose in between two things i like to do very much, actually many times I do one of them so i can do the other one.

to complete I manage to never learn how to drive (at age 43) a car, so i think i'm not doing so bad.

Meet my beautiful Mariko san just back from a day trip. She is a '05 Fuji World - her fine Reynolds 853 steel frame, carbon fiber touring fork, Deore XT components, Conti TT2000 700x32c tires and Brooks B17 Champion Special saddle make riding this lucious babe a pure joy. The Freddy Fenders keep the rain from marring her beauty, though she likes to relax with her Carradice Barley for day trips, saving her Arkels for long trips to Texas where she taunts the President's MTB mercilessly. 'Hey lil feller, if you can catch me, you can have me'. As if!

Don't figure I'll be writing marketing copy for Fuji anytime soon.
