Bikes: Rivendell Atlantis, Cannondale Crit bike, Bianchi Incline, and soon, a Kona Kula Deluxe. Oh, and a Lemond Buenos Aires frame, and a Bridgestone MB3 frame, both awaiting some sort of build-up.

There's something about a well packed up rig that just exudes stability and self-reliance.

I went for a quick overnight to Erving State forest on Friday - for those who are waiting for 2 weeks off, tours don't have to be that long! Just get out there!
All packed up:
My Friday lunch stop:
Somewhere near Shutesbury:
Setting up camp:
A walk to the lake at sunset:
A veiw on the ride back home (Danial Shays Highway, around Pelham)
That bit of water is part of the Quabbin:

I used to work somewhere out in those trees on the peninsula, across from Pelham.

I hear ya on that one!
Sweet looking bike BTW.
So... do you spend most of your time observing and noting, or do you tangle with dark matter and singularities and all that funny looking math?
And just as an aside, what effect (if any) does the observer have on the observed (IYO)?

Here is one of me and my Surly Long Haul Trucker, I have some cheepo front bags untill I can afford the GT-54 Arkel's and move my 42's to the front. I also have updated the racks I have the Surly Nice Rack on the front and rear... They can hold anything, even a fat girl *yes I tested it* This picture was from the First day of RAGBRAI 2005.... The dead fox was complements of my Friend who decided to put them in my rear bags.

to complete I manage to never learn how to drive (at age 43) a car, so i think i'm not doing so bad.

Meet my beautiful Mariko san just back from a day trip. She is a '05 Fuji World - her fine Reynolds 853 steel frame, carbon fiber touring fork, Deore XT components, Conti TT2000 700x32c tires and Brooks B17 Champion Special saddle make riding this lucious babe a pure joy. The Freddy Fenders keep the rain from marring her beauty, though she likes to relax with her Carradice Barley for day trips, saving her Arkels for long trips to Texas where she taunts the President's MTB mercilessly. 'Hey lil feller, if you can catch me, you can have me'. As if!
Don't figure I'll be writing marketing copy for Fuji anytime soon.
