Bar ends, but not really what I'm wanting, they'll be going on the wife's bike

Without wasting my time here: I used to work for a lense company. 8 years removed from the industry but you wouldn't want to cheap out on your eyesight.

Had one, sold it, and bought a short sleeve version jersey instead. Love the material, but the "convertible" part never really worked for me, and I used mostly as a short sleeve jersey.

I was going to go back and buy the long sleeve jersey as well, but the prices had went back up.
That said, I think it'll work well with a baselayer and the colder days of the Phoenix winter.

Cateye Volt 800. Wanted the 1200, but everywhere with a good price was sold out of them, and I didn't want to spring for the 1600. Checked it out a little last night, and 800 lumens is definitely brighter than I would use on a road with cars coming at me, much brighter than my last light, which also used the same mount.

I'm on the fence on this one. I'm considering returning or exchanging for a Nite Rider Solas 150 lumens, which will almost certainly have superior off axis lighting.

Went to the REI Garage Sale yesterday to look at some clothing and came home with a bike instead. I've been looking for something that can go off pavement and with rack mounts, and I couldn't not buy it at the price offered ($550).

I've seen some of the same complaints on the performance site as well. Is someone spamming the comments or is this a bad run of product? My solas30 is perfect.

Ah, okay. Do they have different frame geometries? Just curious... not that I know much about cross bikes, to begin with.

I'm no expert either, but yeah. Overall, I think that gravel bikes are going to have a little bit 'slower' geometry (or more stable, depending upon how you look at it). Cross bikes usually have higher bottom brackets for better clearance over logs and whatnot. I think that cross bikes are also generally more minimal when it comes to mounting points for racks, bottle cages, etc.

Kit doesn't match
Maybe three weeks ago, on their website Diamondback marked down quite a few of their 2015 bikes, some to 60% off retail. That meant the Haanjo with Ultegra was under $1000. Thank goodness they sold out in a few days, because I could hardly contain myself.

I think it's a bad run of units because I never read of complaints about the 30, or the 50, but the100 and the 150 is having those issues; it's possible they're sourcing out the 100 and the 150 to a different place than the 30 and the 50 were so the quality control may not be as good.

Ordered a pair of Gatorskins after a third flat in as many rides... All have been glass/thorn/wire punctures so hoping the Gatorskins help...

got some 28mm Vittoria Rubino pro tech tires for the CX bike for the winter. keep the knobbies from getting chewed up. and a new Hammer short sleeve jersey that was on clearance

Three 20x1.75-2.125 tubes and one 700x32-38c tube, all Fuji branded from the local Fuji/Dahon/SE so-called "dealer," because as it turns out, you can never have too many tubes lying around. Also, a set of plastic tire irons. Eyeing some sweet new Dahons at the same sporting goods store.
Forgot to pick up some patches. Also need a new helmet to replace the one that broke my fall a few months ago (I'm still not sure if I even wanna talk about it yet,) but I'm still trying to sell our last Mazda6, which is turning out to be nigh on impossible as everyone gets to take a haircut in this economy.
