You guys are messed up man, I went through like two or three of his pages and he's a nice dude. Guy doesn't deserve to be grilled like that lol.

if that 735 is less than 400 and as light as an FTP, i'll have serious regrets about my visp and FTP.

and uhh.. emi's explanation of tubular/clincher is **** stupid but he's not exactly wrong. tubular tires can be designed for a higher pressure and that's why they're used on the track. they're also not field repairable so that's why they're not used on the street. in a tumbler post, the discussion isn't going to use much more elevated discourse. sure he could use some qualifiers on his statements, but generally he's not way off base.

as for the 735, the dropouts are a big bummer. with all that metal, it seems like it can't be that much stiffer or lighter than a 725. i will have to see it in person and ride it before i start regretting a $200 ftp, no matter how hard of a time i have getting a 30mm fork worthy of it.

Why does BikesDirect make a bunch of "different" bikes with the same frames and janky stock components?

This. Rocket scientist or not, he gave the short answer. How much detail should he have really gone into in a Tumblr post?

That BikeSnob blog is pretty hilarious yet accurate. I remember people here posting who their favorite Leader riders were, so I went to youtube these guys to see if I'd see something out of the ordinary. All I saw was a bunch of dudes "hill bombing", running red lights, cutting cars off, tailgating, or do anything else that's equally ******** and dangerous.

Oh, please. Just about everything actually worth doing is "dangerous".

If they weren't doing anything dangerous wouldn't we just be watching them cruise along, track standing at red lights for 5 mins and using hand signals at every intersection?

Haha yeah right. Tricks aren't cool because they're dangerous, they're cool because there's the idea that it takes skill that the average person doesn't have.

Riding down a hill and running through a red light isn't a skill.

I don't understand why everyone who hates on the SF hill-bombers is also conveniently a better cyclist than them.

I know I sure as hell wouldn't last 20 minutes brakeless in SF.

Anybody have experience with Leaders aluminum fork? Will it absolutely buzz me to death? I have the S805 steel fork on my 721tr right now but I would really like something that would look better w/ the frame. I didn't really give a damn before since only paid about $100 for the both, but I really like it now and don't mind spending some more money on the bike The carbon fork is nice but the price is just too much to stomach right now. I really wish somebody made a carbon/steel low rake fork that was moderatly priced
