You know after thinking about it I am inclined to agree to both doing it for lunch money and a couple of day a week. Regarding us not being in any competition I just hope we both can continue to make it up and out to ride with friends, family or in competition dealing with as little pain as possible which for myself while be a growing concern for the rest of my life. Hey...what does not kill us make us, well you know. Boo Fing hoo for me.
I did have a good 15 mile ride with my niece this morning so as long as I keep chipping away EVERY day I will shortly get back into "game shape" soon enough

I don't understand the aversion to carrying things on the bike.
Not suggesting to start loading the thing up with panniers, but I see people stuffing their Jersey pockets with so much stuff it looks like they're Sherpas riding up Everest...
Wouldn't you want the weight not blowing out your Jersey? Dragging on your body? Lower on the bike? Etc

As trustee of the archives and co-author of the upcoming autobiography, I can assure you there was no waitress present at that event. However there was a cheerleader in the vicinity.

On a happier note, the Saturn's horn died but I was able to get a replacement on ScamBay and after about 30 minutes of finger scraping work, the new horn is installed and works.
You don't appreciate your car's horn until you don't have it.
Fun factoid: Saturn used a now obsolete 3 pin connector horn. Modern cars use a 2 pin. There are apparently conversion kits but I lucked out and got a 3 pin one.

Ya know, we could have met up for coffee or something. Commuting down to nyc is no big deal, I did it daily for 21 years.

Yeah they were stunned, their fans were stunned, and even the sports experts were really, really impressed if not stunned themselves. They seem to always find a way when they need to; last night KT carried them on his back until crunch time, aka SC time. They did everything right in the final 5 minutes while OKC did everything wrong.
