Conti GP5000 after 400 miles

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I have 2,458.8km (1527.8 miles) on my Continetal GP 5000 TL (tubeless version) ... 25mm wide

I've been riding on ****ty potholed roads and I have had zero punctures, the tyres are fast, grip very well in the wet and dry and still look very good. I normally change tyres around the 2000km mark .... these still have many miles in them.

I'm so impressed with these, that I have bought the clincher version (GP 5000) in 32mm wide for my Miyata One Thousand touring bike

this is great to hear. My TL’s have about 400 miles on them and are still in perfect shape tread wise. However they have both been throwing a few cords off that I’ve had to cut. I’m going to try and burn them off to seal where it starts but it’s been on both front and rear tires causing me a bit of concern. Did this happen to you at all?

I've had the exact same .... small strands from time to time .... I cut them off with a nail clipper. I've read that some GP4000 have the same problem but its not serious
