$5000 and you radial lace the rear wheel on a track bike?? gorgeous frame but there's no way that wheel is strong enough to use.

Maybe they are doing a documentary on the safe use of push mowers? Maybe a budding cobbler needs something to practice on? All kinds of possibilities. I agree though? It's right up there with the "spokes cut out with the freewheel still attached" or the "Chopped up the frame to sell the cranks" type sales.,,,,BD

I bought one (of the same NOS lot) myself, several years ago for $150 for my son. It is a nice bike. After upgrading with new 700 wheels and tires sold for under $300. In my area, with inflated prices, I'd be skilled to get $350.
New Old Stock (NOS) Early 80's Univega Sportour - $1200 (Reston)
Do you want the sweet ride of steel without spending $2500+ on a new Colnago or Bianchi or IF or any other the many other fine bikes ?
Univega Sportour - probably 1980 or so. The pics don't do it justice.
NOS (New Old Stock) - this was acquired a few years ago (new in the box) from a former employee/collector who bought several of these and never used them. I no longer have the box. It may have been ridden a few times though it doesn't appear to. It's not perfect, but pretty darn close !
63cm" frame 35" standover
The color is a dark burgundy. There are a few nicks to the paint from storage, maybe 2.
Frame is Champion Tange - One of the most respected steel tubing sets ever made even to this day.
Shimano 600 Arabesque (with rare black brackground) shifters and deraileurs. This groupo was made between 1978 and 1983, so that dates the bike also.
12 speed gearing. As it's friction shifting, it would easy to modify it to 2x7 or possibly 2x8.
Hand painted gold outlines on the frame lugs - see pic.
DiaCompe G brake calipers amd drilled/aero levers - no road rash.
SR Custom crankset and 170mm crank arms shine like they were made yesterday.
27" Araya rims and stainless spokes on Shimano VIA hubs
Italia leather saddle
MKS AR1 pedals.
SN - J890935

Buy one Schwinn Meridian Trike for $200 at Kmart(complete with unsafe rims and questionable transfer hub freewheel) add a OHV lawn mower engine to make it go far faster than is safe for ANY trike to move, and ask $1600. Evil plan to defraud, injure, and maim the elderly or vertically challenged individuals, complete!,,,,,,,BD

Here's something new, direct marketing to the DUI crowd.
https://knoxville.craigslist.org/bik/4128555888.html
Liquorcycle - $100 (Louisville)
Mongoose mountain bike with engine mounted. Tires hold air. Engine runs and bike can be ridden. Great for D.U.I. recipients. No license required. I don't need it. Trades considered. Make offer. $100.00

Yes... but whose garage?
https://portland.craigslist.org/mlt/bik/4139534785.html
(I'm curious what the bike might be... any guesses?)
[h=2]Unmarked Road bike - $40 (NE Portland)[/h]
I pulled this bike out of the garage a couple months ago and I'm looking to sell it. There is no seat so you'd have to buy one before this is ridable.

At first it looks like a decent bike. It does not have visible shifters, however, though the cable routing is like a stem, bar end, or brifter setup. That leads me to think Denali style. The stem is quill style and I can almost see the grip shifters on the top of the drop bar. The crankset and RD also look low end. It looks like the frame decals were covered up with blue spray paint. Only the lower price keeps me from considering it a scam.
