This is a great, lightweight road bicycle. It will need some fixing up before it's roadworthy. Please email for more details if interested!

That Eddy Merckx looks like it was hung on the wall and not ridden. It bugs me a bit that people do that.

From a person with too many dreams about Oxford, England...

VINTAGE RALEIGHS...NOTTINGHAM, ENGLAND (berkeley north / hills)

Date: 2010-10-28, 3:06PM PDT
Reply to: sale-hf8yy-2030935670@craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?]

I have a nice collection of 40's to 70's Raleigh Sports, Superbas and Mercury's. All made in Nottingham, England, when people took pride in the work they did. I also have vintage Brooks leather seats. The bikes cost from $145 to $475, depending upon condition, year and model. If you've dreamt of being in Oxford on a fellowship, and riding down to your local pub for a banger and a pint...shoot me an email with your phone # and we can set up an appointment. Thanks!

This is a nice deal, especially for the SF-Bay area market. A partial 8-speed DA group just sold for $380 on ebay, and this is for a complete bike w/ nice triple-butted Miyata frame.

59cm Miyata 712 Road Bike rebuilt with Dura Ace STI - $500 (mission district)

Reply to: sale-kwm2v-2031126763@craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?]

The bike is in good condition. It has lugged frame with Spline Triple Butted cromoly tubing. No dents or dings and the paint looks good. It has been rebuilt with a bunch of good stuff. It has Dura Ace rear hub, rear derailleur, brake calipers, cranks and 8 speed STI shifter/brake levers. The front derailleur is Shimano 600. The front hub is Shimano 105. Wolber rims that are very straight. Very new Michellin Hi-Lite tires. Fizik Pave titanium railed seat.

Great bike for getting around town to long road rides.

59cm frame is pretty big and you should be pretty tall to ride this thing.

Located 3 blocks from the 24th St. BART

I know this guy. He rebuilds bikes and sells for profit, no room for bargaining. He has some nice rides. Knows his stuff too. Self employed bike mechanic according to him. I bought a couple of frames from him.

Hello! I came across an old 1930s Hercules British bike with rod pull brake levers. Really old time. Bicycle has a sturmey archer 3 speed hub that probably still works. Bicycle is without a saddle and the brakes are missing parts. I don't want much for it, make me an offer.

Miyata 310 bicycle - $100 (Wheaton)

Miyata 310 bicycle -- maroon color -- diamond frame

The Miyata 310 has a slightly shorter wheelbase than typical touring bicycles which makes this bike a great commuter/dayride bike.

This particular bike was purchased and ridden in the early 80's. Because of moving to less bike-friendly places, it was seldom ridden from 1986-1992, and has been in storage since then.

-I recall that the original cranks and pedals were replaced at one point with ones of the same length, similar style.
-Also, those soft, protective covers over the spot where the brake handles attach... are no longer soft nor protective.
-This bike was always stored indoors... has seen much less rain than the owner.

56 CM Frame . very fast/light/. will need to be tuned . been sitting.

Dura-ace components hubs, brakes, shifters/including derailleurs, head set, crank arms, and saddle, post. Biopace chain rings.

tubular tires?sew ups.

In the mid 1970s, David Tesch began his career with start up Trek Bicycle Company in Wisconsin. He soon went on to work with Masi in Carlsbad, CA. By the early 1980s he developed his own identity as a frame builder. Dave's reputation was that of making bikes that were no-holds-barred racing machines with virtual track bike geometry. Owners state that Tesch bikes are a blast to ride!
As happens so often in the handmade bicycle craft, business difficulties pushed him out of the craft in the 1990s.

Call if interested? 401-338-2379 Picture below same, bicycle same color . will add actuall pictures of my bicycle at later date. camera no good.

This is a rare road bike as those of you who are opening this posting probably know. The vin #is 1156, which I think puts it around 1974. The bike is missing the original forks, which is pretty typical. There are no cracks in the frame from what I can tell, but will gladly furnish more pictures for those who are interested. Here's a list of some of the details:

56cm from center crank to seat post top
Rims are Mavic
Hubs are Campi Record
All shift componets are Campi (rear derailer state Rally)
cranks are Omega 9/16 x 20 F
concor superleggera seat
triples on front crank 52/41/32 tooth

If you're interested reply to this post with a phone number and I'll get back to you shortly. $500 no trades
