Well yesterday I took some of my high school students out for a bike ride, and when we got back to the shop, there was this lady sitting outside in a beach chair in nothing but a g string tanning. The students went nuts. It was kinda terrible. especially when she followed us into the shop and tried talking to us.

Today Angie got a huge tattoo on her leg in honor of our cat Fickle (aka Ham) who passed away a few months ago.

Done by our friend Chris Dingwell in Portland, ME. I got all teary-eyed when I saw it.

Full on touring bikes are burly and slow. There are lots of regular "sport" bikes that fit wide tires and fenders, maybe even a rear rack.

TIFU @ work. :-/
it's ok though

41mph top speed or 41mph average? How long is the segment?

Today I read a very good thread about how a LBS works and why I want to support them more than buying from Amazon and eBay:

https://velospace.org/forums/discussion/1281/a-lbs-rant/

Not only that, but he's local (<5 miles from my house).

I hope nothing serious, Dan. I just got back some positive results on bloodwork myself. Big relief.

Just watched Gattaca for the first time. Wow. I love some dystopian sci-fi.

Have to have it done monthly, blood thinners due to having a couple blood clotting mutations.
