Doesn't TTOC6 live in SLC now? Maybe he can loan you one.

Not sure if this is an option for you, but when I was traveling to my dad's recently I bought some cheap ($99) rollers and had them delivered there instead. I just keep them at his place.

They actually aren't terrible either.

Well I'd have to ship them back to me after, I'll just be in SLC for a work conference. Maybe I'll just use bike flights and ship my trainer. They're pretty cheap, and might actually cost me less than a checked bag, honestly.

I don't know about you guys, but I kind of obsess over tracking my orders.

I ordered something last week. The UPS site gave two updates on the day it shipped with notice that it would be delivered tomorrow. Since then though, there have been no updates. I want to know where it is. All I know is that it left Cerritos, CA on the fourth.

Another option is to find someone with the Feedback Omnium trainer. They fold up small and come with a travel bag. Someone on local listserv may have a set they could loan you.

That's a good idea, thanks for the tip. I'll check with the team first too.

I was going to suggest the same thing https://www.amazon.com/Feedback-Spor.../dp/B01E03AJAS

Its a bit pricey for one time use though.

Rather, I am in a strange corner that is about 8 feet wide and 12 feet long with exterior windows on one long side and a short end, a wall on one long end and then just an open wall on the other short end. I don't share any temporary walls with anyone, and it's more like an office without a fourth wall, but I digress.)

At first, taking the office seemed like a no brainer, but then I started thinking about it more, and now I'm not so sure. I would be sharing the office with one of two people, both of whom are women in their mid-20s. I'm not sure how much I would have in common with either. Both are very new here, so I also don't know them well enough to know whether I would enjoy sharing an office with them. In fact, one hasn't officially started yet. I've only met her in her interview.

I am starting to think taking the individual cube might be the smarter play.

Thoughts?
I have a cube. It's better than a shared office 100% of the time. I have one little open section as a door and hotkey scripts to minimize all on middle-mouse clicks...

Today I'm sharing my office with a Pit Bull and a Dalmation. Dalmation much easier to work with.

I'm up in Ogden area. (okay, half way between SLC and O-town). If it's dry out, let's ride. With the weather so far this year, if you can deal with the cold, it's totally rideable outside.

Otherwise I can hook you up with some cheap rollers, if you want while you're in town.

Sold some old aluminum training wheels I had in the apartment. Didn't need them and was able to move them locally, albeit for a little less than I wanted to. At least I didn't have to deal with shipping.

Down to 2 sets of rim brake alloy clincher, 1 set of alloy tubeless disc brakes and a carbon disc tt wheel. Thinning the herd. Still need to get a front race wheel for the TT bike and I'll probably stick to racing aluminum clinchers on the road. Really had planned to move to road disc this year, but gonna put it off until end of this season I think.

New bike day!!!

It's a shiny metallic green Wabi Classic. Can't wait to build it up and start riding it! It will get used when I want to train in bad weather, commute, or just cruise around the neighborhood for fun.

Thanks man. @mike868y didn't you ride a fixed century once? I may have to try that after I get used to some moderate z2 rides on it.

I like the idea of doing longer z2 rides on the fg. Something I've done in (many) years past.

I did a fixed double once (Seattle to Portland aka the STP). My ass hurt by the end, but besides that it was fine - it's a pretty flat route.

What's a good bribe for a bike mechanic, besides beer? (he doesn't drink)

I'm thinking doughnuts.
