It amazes me that the internet still has these kinds of dramas. Granted, the 90s-style flame wars are pretty much gone now (and not missed!), but one would think that people who have been conversing on the internet for this long (or who grew up doing it), would have learned to limit the friction some. And to not take the friction too personally, either.
"one would think" means, "that's what I sort of think". But clearly I'm wrong. Again.

Riding the Greek Isles...
I don't come here to get into a discussion about politics
I will take BillyD at his word about the political discussions seeing how he is showing his support for the Dallas Cowboys's Star and current location showing as Hudson Valley, NY...

Meanwhile back to bicycling.
Sometime back in the 1980's I saw a piece in Bicycling Magazine on how to convert a 10 speed bike into a 15 speed by converting the double crankset into a triple with a 28 tooth gear wheel. All I had to do was buy a 28 tooth gear wheel, use bolts/nuts and washers to attach the the gear wheel to the inside of the double crank and it worked perfectly. I was the only person on the bike path that could spin like crazy and move my Sears bike only about 2 feet forward. Did anyone on BF make their own triple crank, before bikes with triples were everywhere?

Maybe RiceAWay & Cyress should check out the CABE. I'm sure they would be politically in the majority on the CABE & quite a few of them are cranky though most I think are more about the bikes than the riding.
