It's basically exactly what the ad says...De Rosa made some limited edition frames with different paint. That one is a replica 57', meaning a replica of the 57' paint/decal scheme. It's basically just an SLX De Rosa with different paint. Bbm had one of these if I recall. There were others...a molteni replica, the signature and the anniversary, which is the most desired of them. $1000 for a NOS De Rosa like that seems quite reasonable.

The merckx is a merckx...damn good price too.

The confusion is that in the ad it says "I believe this is a replica of the Merckx bike from '57 Tour de France". Eddy didn't ride the 1957 Tour de France. He would have been 12 years old.

Got it...thanks. I was confused because there was also a merckx in the post.

Where I believe the ad poster is confused is that there was another limited edition De rosa like this - the molteni replica.

Vintage Schwinn Hybrid mountain bike- clean, excellent condition

[h=2] Vintage Schwinn Hybrid mountain bike- clean, excellent condition - $180 (Sterling)[/h]

condition: excellent

Selling my Schwinn High Sierra hybrid mountain bike in excellent condition. The bike rides and shifts great with a high quality components, and always indoor kept, and very clean. I am including the rear bike rack for installing Panniers, or for tying things down for long distance commuting, and the Cateye computer, but needs a battery. The seat is a real comfortable Venito Propizio Italian seat. Frame is 58cm, and great for riders 5.5, up to 6.1. If interested, please send email. Asking for $180, or best offer. Thanks for looking.

Little bit larger and I could have the Professional I am hankering for.

The only Merckx I really want to try at this point.

I got over the French flu the first time I rode a french bike back in the 70's so I never cared much for French bikes...but now I'm older and don't demand performance from a bike like I use to, and the price is right, if I lived there I would check out to see if it fit and if it did I would buy it. The French always had a flare for looks on their bikes and that bike looks really nice.

Bridgestone XO-3

Bridgestone Bike

[h=2]Bridgestone Bike - $90 (Arlington)[/h]

This is a pretty awesome bike I bought when I moved to DC from a man who restores them and sells them off. It works great, though the brakes are a little squeaky and as of now the tires are flat. It's got a lamp on the front, a basket attachment, a flasher on the back, and a bell. Seat and tires are all quick release. Unfortunately I don't need it anymore, so making sure someone else gets to ride it.

Here is a vintage Cannondale tour bike converted to Cruiser: Complete with BMX bars & brakes, Triple bottle cages, chrome alloy forks. All derailleurs work. It rides and shifts a little rough, but is a fun short range rider. I used is as a grocery getter. Price is firm.

Bianchigirll - That cappuccino rider is neat. I've never seen one. Guessing its fairly rare??? Bianchi accessories and details.... handsome. Only change could possibly see is swapping the bars to a drop or version of moustache. Thanks for sharing

Fun bike.

I just gave my Herc to my niece.

She'll use it every day getting to her classes.

Well, at least until the snow flies.

Battaglin 1983 Giro d'Italia - $750 (Braddock Heights)[/h][h=2]

condition: excellentsize / dimensions: 56cm

A very handsome and classic Giovanni Battaglin. Would recommend new tires and visiting the b/b with fresh grease. Other than that, a swift and smooth ride. Prefer cash. Serious inquiries only please. See 1983 catalog pages for details. Head set, brake levers and hubs are Campy. Battaglin water bottle free with purchase.[/h]
