I'm sorry the flick stand didn't make it. It was intact when I put it in. Apparently a victim of the heavy load of crap.

I took out the computers when I had the box. I tried to replace the batteries and couldn't even get them to turn on, so I tossed them.

My take. I had to repack some things that weren’t in original packaging into smaller bags. I thought I was decent at packing...

Off to @fleslider tomorrow

Nice haul! I had some woven gloves tossed in as part of a deal with a bike, and I love them. Hadn’t used them before.

More crap, cheaper?

I'm sitting out the crapfest for a bit, but I wanted to alert y'all to a potential logistics improvement. I bought a half dozen bike stands which were shipped to me via Bikeflights (tipping the scales at just under 20 pounds). The seller only charged me $10 for shipping, so perhaps he ate some of the cost, but still... The box has nearly double the volume of a large flat rate Priority Mail box. Even if the cost is more, just think of all the extra useful crap which could be shipped around. For example, handlebars:

I think the issue would be its more and variable, could lead to a repack with items to reduce weight. I think the large one rate box is perfect for our purposes.

Wouldn't we need to go to Fedex? Is that as convenient as the post office?

Was just tossing it out there. I was frankly surprised that Eddie was able to ship that to me so cheaply. To adapt a Homer Simpson dream: "mmm... handlebars..." I will at least be considering it as an option for my own shipping needs for smaller-than-bike-frame-sized boxes.

You got that right. I had to take out a much better saddle to add it in there in the first place.

I'm glad somebody finally pulled it. Hope you like that thing, @fleslider

i was only interested because i like seeing the updates (hadn't seen the thread pop to the top of the page for a few days), and i like seeing the things people take out of it.
i know stuff comes up in real life (it did when the box was in my possession) where it can take a little time to ship, or something like this gets put on the short term back burner.
