2000 Jamis Aurora - fair price?
Saw one FS at $280... appears to be mostly original, but w/a Brooks saddle. Does this seem fair? I mentioned to the seller that my budget was $200, and he said fine.

$200 is cheap for an assembled bike in a proper bike shop.
this is the end of the summer sales season in the northern Hemisphere ,
january has the inventory taxes coming due ..
buy your racks, lights and fenders, at point of sale ,
typically retailers shave 10% off those with a new bike purchase..

$200 is a fair price to me, that bike originally cost about $600 12 years ago. The sora equipment is good, Gearing is a bit high for touring but that can be changed. Bottom line, if I were in the market for a touring bike, I would take that for $200. With the money that you have saved you can purchase additional gear or upgrade if that is your interest.
