Great Mod
I am curious which parts did you use and how long did it take you to put that together. Fantastic job though

I love that Giant Stilletto! May be my next project. Lots of inspiration here.
Here's what I have so far...
The first. Golden Motor 36v 500 watts. LiFePo4 36v 20ah.
The figures on speed are exagerated as my speedo was off. I just never got around to changing the photo. More like 20 MPH.
FrankinBike.jpg
Second. Made from a Mongoose BMX and two old mountain bikes.
The steering is "push/pull" skidloader style underseat. Link arms on both sides.
AmpedBikes kit. 36v 20ah LiFePo4. Plenty of speed and great fun as is but plan on going to 48v for the torque.
SLSide.jpg
Third. Bought this so as to take my aged Mother for a ride. Side by side seating with separate pedals and shifters/brakes She doesn't have a lot of horsepower in her legs,
so I built a quick release trailer with batteries and controller. To help out.
36v AmpedBikes, Three 12v 12a SLA.

Conhis Motors 1000W kit on Specialized Mtn. bike
I recently installed a 1000 watt rear hub motor on an old mountain bike. I only have about 35 miles on it so far.
Top speed without pedaling is 30.0 MPH on a flat road as measured with a Garmin Edge 305 GPS.
The battery is a 48 volt 10Ah Lifepo4.
My futhest ride has been 19 miles with no noticeable loss of power. I weigh approximately 185 lbs. My average speed was 20 to 30 MPH with many stops at stop lights.

Here is my $50 bike turned into electric bike. I outfitted it with a 500w Ampedbikes rear kit, and a Lithium 36v 20ah battery. Actually, the bike is a Motive, same as Blippo.
Cheers

Here's my Surley Cross Check with a Bionx Kit. Been riding it about a week now, it it works well. Needs better brakes, water bottle mount somewhere, and quieter freehub but otherwise excellent. I'm thinking the battery may end up in the pannier.

hello from the Netherlands
my first one was a Mercedes hybrid ebike has only one level of assistance
I did buy an Aprilia enjoy city which is a very good alternative with 3 levels of assistance
for spare part I did buy t a second, on which is now converted with a Chinese controller which works very fine only miss is a pedelec switch to make it legal but without is very easy to start at traffic lights
also if you control the throttle a bit brings you further (50km now)
I also has restored and upgraded to 24 volt a c5 sinclair but this one, an a spare part one, are both for sale now
I can not use them by limitation of my shoulder
I need a ebike because of my heart failure , but with a ebike I can climb the only hill in the area (90mtr) very easy

This is an early ( circa 1947) Fiberglas bike, with battery to accumulate voltage from going down hills and cruising at high speed, and electric assist to get up hills. Bowden Spacelander, red, white, black, about 477 made.

This is the start of my 2,000 watt Electric Bicycle, This was a Giant Stiletto Chopper Bicycle. I am using a Scott Cloud EV motor at 24v. and a kelly 200 amp controller. The Yellow things below the frame are the 24V, 160ah. Li-Ion Fe. batteries that were originally for an electric car, they were expensive, I am still working on this e-bike a little at a time. It should have a long range. click the links to see photos of setup so far.

Hello Zeuser,
I'm interested on PL350 Bionx kit for my bike, but which one is more secure against thieves if I leave the bike locked in a public parking? I'm in Montreal which in general is safe but bikes are stolen if you don't park them with a U-lock or other strong lock.

My home built recumbent tandem/Bionx
I built this bike about 11 years ago; check out details on it at : https://tender-learning-care.com/mybike.html . My wife & I rode it a lot for the first 9 years, over 24,000 miles, but we really quit for the last 2 years (house remodel & other stuff got in the way). When we tried to get going again, it just seemed awfully hard to build up to any kind of distance. I got the Bionx 350L 2 weeks ago and the bike is fun again!

Thanks Allen, I took it on a 34 mile ride last Saturday & with a little coaxing (some regen & some flatland boost set @ zero) got home with one bar still left on the battery. Bike's pretty heavy & so are the "passengers" but a flatland run without pedaling leveled out @ 17.4 mph. Looks like it's gonna be ok.

Thanks nwmntnbkr, I've already noticed a difference in the knees, we've gone over 150 miles in the last week, which is about twice what we went last year. Be sure to check the link I included in my original post,it includes a pdf of an article on the bike that I wrote for RCN.
