This thread of course is what I'm referring to., I'll stay clear of the former VP he's a dead-eye shot I hear.

Some guy got yelled at on thursday. I haven't heard that many expletives, in that many languages screamed so rapidly in a while. The group slows from about 30 mph to mid 20's and this guy doesn't even tap the brakes and just tries to slide down the middle bouncing off people as he goes. Luckily nobody fell but with any luck he won't be back. Definitely the worst bike handler on this particular ride, every morning.

I wound up latching onto a ride of a couple of dozen Freds yesterday. They did a few things that warranted yelling, but since I was an uninvited guest on this ride I just did mental facepalms. Then the Studliest of Freds on that ride droped the hamer and it was only four of us, so that was better.

I got mixed up with some better riders a few weeks ago and got yelled at. Couldnt blame them as I was in over my head and not only couldnt close a gap I saw it widen and widen as they upped the tempo. I confused the guy dropping back as to whether he should cut in and the folks in back of me werent happy either. I dropped out at the next light with apologizes . Moral, stay away from groups where youre in over your abilities. Last week a few of their more agressive riders were at a race and the group leader said hey come on along Ill help you out if you have a problem. Ended up having a nice ride.

Even out on the velodrome people aren't safe - in a race a few weeks ago a guy was just about pin-balling off people in the pack, just bouncing off people and riding crazy.
We all yelled at him and even the announcer called him out too.. good times. Unless you were him.

We tried to get a rotation going at the local ride today and people kept messing it up. Guy#1 was a particularly bad offender and kept getting in the way. After rotating and slowing I glanced to my side, only to find a gap because Guy#1 had been behind me and was slowing down. I groaned. Guy#2 was trying to get things organized in the paceline, so I heard him yell, "Hey, do you know what it means to pull through?" [Inaudible Response] "Then get the **** off the front of the paceline!" I laughed.
I think he explained it later and Guy#1 got into the rotation a couple times.

Disagree. practical and useful are the message. How that message is delivered is the arrogance.

Message was good. Delivery was also good. Agree there's arrogance present but not with the OP (Event Services) . Here's the deciding point: Tuesday is for people who are good enough. Wednesday is for learning. The arrogance therefore lies with the cyclist PRESUMING to join the Tuesday ride instead of the Wednesday ride.
