Both have some upgrades. Circuit has new wheels and a wireless computer on the Circuit. Peloton has egg beaters now.
I'll ask him to post up some photos of his 1986 or 87 Madison (track bike), which he converted into a commuter.

I can finally post some pics on my own thread!!! Here is my humble prelude freshly greased and ready to ride. In fact I did so today, although only for about 4 miles, had some other commitments to tend to!! I like it alot, its very comfortable and the gearing isnt as murderous as i originally thought it would be!! The friction shifters are lets just say "interesting"!! But everything works as it was intended, I am happy with my purchase.

Nice. But if I am seeing correctly, you are way past the max mark on your seat tube & that's dangerous. Seat tubes on those late 80's Schwinns tend to be on the short side (a byproduct of the way bikes were fitted at the time), so if you need that much post you should buy yourself a 350mm one.

I think i could squeek by on a 60cm frame, this one is a 58cm... Its a decent fit though, comfortable enough, Just a little extra seatpost showing. Did Scwhinn even make a 60cm?? I've seen 58s and 64s...andy

This is my 88 LeTour that started out life as one of the previous pictured blue/white/blue fade. After many years of service I decided it was time to give it a face lift and component upgrade. Powder coated it semi-gloss black installed a new Tiagra group. I really liked the ride of this bike but it was a little too big and I have decided to build a new one. To save everyone some time, I adjusted the seat after the pic was taken, this was taken just after the build was completed. Hopefully it will appear later on down the road as a commuter or something else.

Set up way way way tall cause it's like 2-3 sizes too small but finding one of these I thought was pretty rare so I had to snatch it up.
It's set up on DA track hubs with open pro rims and veloflex masters. The brooks is there because I stole the rolls for the peloton. It's also running with eggbeater 2's now just like the peloton.

The Ontare was an eBay win because I had to have it to match the other two. The Tempo and Premis was a CL find. Husband and wife matched set. They rode test bikes at the Schwinn dealer (North Town Schwinn - Cedar Rapids IA). They brought the two bikes home, he rode his about 5 miles she never rode hers. Mint condition on both. $300 for the set.
I ride the Ontare but the other 2....not so much.

I keep passing on 25" Peloton's on eBay, and I'm starting to regret it. Some nice weather to prep my Tempo for service would be good too.

Well... I'm pretty old (43) but i didn't do alot of biking "back in the day"... I was into other forms of "recreation" 
... Glad I finally discovered biking (2000+ miles since last Oct.) LOVE IT!!!

Now that I have two bikes with DT's (Prelude and Circuit), that i ride constantly, I actually prefer the friction to indexed, can't stand that clicking, plus much better shifting when climbing ( i still try to plan ahead, but sometimes get stuck shifting on a hill), I just love the ride of the vintage steel tube bikes, glad i started looking at C&V forum awhile back...i'm hooked!!
