FSA SL-K Light or Dura-Ace crankset
These are about the same price (FSA is $100 cheaper including the BB),
which one would you get?

It must be hit an miss. My step dad has around 6000 miles on his SL-K setup with no issues. I've ridden on it and it seems nice

I don't think anyone would say that. FSA rings are as stiff nor do they have the ramp profiles of DA. DA is the gold standard for front shifting. I have never missed a front shift with DA DI2 even shifting ring and cassette at the same time.

You can't go wrong with either.
If the $100 means anything to you, the FSA are just fine. I have a 5 year old FSA SLKLight that still shifts like new. My Ultegra 6800.....not so much.
My FSA certainly looks cooler but is harder to keep clean. I can't say DA doesn't look good though cuz I like the look of those too. (apples/oranges)
Lastly.......I've worked incessantly (I have a very old, long-winded BB thread in here somewhere) on making BB30/PF30 silent. It's almost impossible but......
Wheels Mfg BB with the FSA's is close to perfect
Praxis Works with Shimano is 99.99% perfect
(Unless it's on a newer bike & there are no offerings for those.....I just hate using individual "cups" with ANY crankset as it's a non-concentric solution that is no-bueno, imho.

Consider Easton’s EC90 SL carbon crank. It’s lighter and stiffer than Dura Ace and looks beautiful.

Chases Dogs for Sport
I own and ride both. (The FSA SL-K Light because Dura Ace doesn't offer the gravel gearing I was looking for.) Mark me down as another vote for Dura Ace. The shifting is much quieter and more reliable. If cost is the determining factor, go with a Shimano Ultegra crank. It's a lot less expensive but performs the same as the Dura Ace.

Dura Ace.
The only thing that made my SRAM front shifting performance improve was when I put Shimano chainrings on the crank.
And Ultegra front shifting was revelatory compared to any FSA or SRAM offerings.

Kit doesn't match
Not to disrupt the conversation, but the original post was made in 2012. Hopefully he's chosen by now.
