1. it's a classic. way above the cgi mind-candy touted to the masses now. one of those "near perfect" films (along with "Casablanca").

2. J&B scotch. posted above. not great by any means but:

$10 is sad. It's $6.50 here, but then again it's brewed here so there is no shipping costs

yeah. regional.

i meet guys coming in from California, who can't wait to stock up on Yuengling and consider Sierra Nevada swill, while here Yuengling is right between Bud and Coors.

strange.

i tried one dogfish head and it was too syrupy/not crisp enough in the aftertaste - almost porter/stout like.
the front end was nice and hoppy though and tasted like an IPA should imo. I forget which one I tried but I didn't get all the hype.

being from san diego does mean i get a plethora of locals to try

i had gone to Netflix but it isn't available up here in Canada. So thanks for that.

i totally get movie themed drinks. We brought bourbon into the theater for Zombieland (and twinkles). The one thing that bugged me was that they never show the brand of bourbon - probably because they didn't get sponsorship.

New Blue Moon variety pack.

Tried a Blackberry Tart wheat ale and an Agave Nectar ale. Both pretty good.

Tonight it's the Rounder Pale Ale or the Short Straw. I guess I actually like Pale Ales. Just not India Pale Ales.

It smelled more like choc, banana, pb than tasted like it. For the most part it tasted like a random dark beer. Nothing memorable. Was not worth the money I spent on it. Will never buy again. To be honest, I haven't had many Rogue beers that I've liked.

The Poorter was 500x better.

Nice to know, I was looking at that bottle a few times. I like the Dead Guy Ale, and I think one other, maybe the chocolate stout. I tried a couple others that weren't anything special.

At the moment, I'm drinking good 'ol Miller Lite. It's swill, true, but... I'm a Brewers fan and a few Lites at the beginning of the season always just feels right. Go Crew!
