theyre really good with a cup of coffee in the morn (which is how theyre originally eaten)

you leave the waffle on the top of your cup with a small opening to vent and you eat it when it starts to droop into the cup. melty honey caramely goodness.

Yeah Hope makes great stuff in Barnswoldswicktonshirestonville upon avon which is cool because while not 'Merica it is built by them at their HQ closer in than China or Taiwan.

I just hope they work

Tits mcgee is quite accurate. They are super delicious and I had to stop myself from eating more than one. It is like eating a waffle cookie type of thing which would be swell on a longer ride when I need a boost and maybe didn't eat breakfast (which sometimes I do so I can burn off all the crap I ate the day before) The only people who don't like maple syrup are terrorists ; )

They may not be the cheapest things on the planet but they sure are tasty and that is way more important to me than cost. Having interesting power food is great especially for touring when I want the weird and whacky to keep me going.

Honestly the nicest cycling shoes I've ever worn. These things are so dang comfy, and a remarkable improvement from my old Northwaves (no more stupid ratchets to come flying off my shoe when I hit the deck!)

Picked up some clipless pedals last night off Craigslist. Slapped 'em on my bike, and rode around my neighborhood to test them out. Cleats were a little worn, but I was able to clip in and do some practice skids/hops. I think I love it already.

I never understood why people run such expensive and race oriented cranksets when they don't have clipless, true "look at me bling bling" person.

Probably because people are allowed to do whatever they want.

Why do people own expensive sports cars if they never take them to a track for racing?
Why do people spend top dollar on the latest and greatest driver, when they can only drive the ball 175 yards?
Why do people buy Voss water when Dasani or Aquafina is much cheaper, and it's all water?

News flash: us people, the human race, like nice things. So you wanna get a brand new Dura Ace crankset and throw some BMX platforms and Hold Fast straps on them? Go for it! Not everybody buys expensive, high quality products for the sole intention of racing. Some people like nice things because...they're nice things. Why would you ever want to intentionally buy **** products? "Oh, well, I better buy these $40 Origin8 cranks because I'm only going to be using them in the street with cages and straps."

Nah dude, you got a ****ed up way of looking at things.

it would be more akin to buying a sports car and having cheap tires on it.

platforms are going to negate the benefits of a high end crank, might as well save your money and get something thats a bit more budget friendly.

I never said it was wrong, I just don't understand the thought behind it.

There's probably a lot of stuff you don't understand, which is perfectly ok.

I have the black and grey version of these. They are really nice. On the tongue, there is an elastic bit to tuck the laces into so they don't get chewed up in the chain.

If you want to get technical, those colors are actually quite perfect for one another. Photoshop is good for calculating complimentary and triad colors. Turns out the pink & celeste is computer generated to be great matching colors when going for an analogous color scheme.

(Those aren't my actual shoes in the photo!) The laces are a little too short for me to loop them around the bottom of the shoe like I do with my Empires, but that's pretty much the only complaint I have with these shoes. The fit is superb, and they look swell.

Interesting. My eyes must be defective. Or it might be the computer in my head that receives the data from my eyes.

I mean on the tongue itself. There is an elastic piece that you can slip them in once they are tied to keep them from getting tangled.
