I just rebuilt my 2015 Kona Jake the Snake, moving to Gevenalle shifters with hydraulic brakes and a BURD rear derailleur with KOGEL CX pulleys.
It's not the lightest bike ever, weighing in at 21.3 pounds as pictured, but switching to the Gevenalle bits from the stock 105 drivetrain and Hayes CX Expert brakes trimmed half a pound. I raced it this morning and while it didn't magically keep me from being slow it was a blast to ride. These brakes are soooo sweet.

I'll answer questions all day long but mind games are billable. Rates start at $125/hour. Let me know.
I will give you this. https://www.bikeforums.net/general-c...lectafuji.html

So your ride gravel/trails in the dark. Do you find your light setup sufficient?

My lights are more than sufficient. Most of my rides are 80% paved.
An Exposure Strada 1200 is under the GPS and a Light & Motion Vis 360+ is on my helmet. That's 1450 lumens facing forward.

New Build - Ritchey
This is a new Ritchie Ascent build. Of note, I chose to go with an unconventional drivetrain. Front = 46/30. Rear = 11/40. I live in Northern Cal where there are many steep hills hence the 30-40 capablity. Since this is a "do everything" bike, the 46-11 makes for good, fast training rides and less freewheeling downhills.
Also of note... 650b wheels with front Dynamo. Lighting not set up but plan to hardwire front and rear lights for always on lighting. Jones bar up top.
So far... Lots of fun.

Snagged one of the last 2016 Vaya Ti's available from QBP and changed some things about it. Converted to 1x, added single speed TRP levers and a Paul thumbie with an 80s Shimano 600 downtube shifter to pull the X0 derailleur. New Cane Creek 110 upper for the headset. Swapped saddle for a Flite, and the Knards for puffy Soma Supple Vitesse 42s.
I might switch to a 90mm Paul stem to give me a couple more cm extension.

Creative buold, tengrain!
What cog count is the cassette?...im guessing the 600 shifter is running in friction.
