If any of you want in on the ground floor (or so) of the high end late-'80s Schwinn line, this is it: a 56cm 1987 Circuit for $200. Is it somewhat original? Yes. Is it mega dusty/dirty? Yes. Does the chrome have a ton of surface corrosion? YES. But if my all-chrome '77 Super Le Tour 12.2 is any indication, you should achieve a satisfactory result. Clean, compound, wax, and touch up the paint. You'll have a swell frameset at the end of it. Yes, it does look a bit bleak, and if I didn't have other projects (naturally....), this would be rescued.

Is this price out of proportion? I've never tried to buy a paramount so I've no idea, but it's been up for 20 days.

57cm 1990 Schwinn Paramount made in Waterford.
Dura ace components.
Cinelli bars and stem.
Campagnolo wheels with Dura-Ace hubs.

Looks fair to me. Not in the cheap C&V dealhunter sort of way -- that number would be more like $300 and it would last half an hour, tops. But a Waterford Paramount in solid condition with good paint? I've got no issues with that number, and would list for at least that if it were mine.

I think $599 for a Waterford Paramount with Dura Ace in nice condition is a very nice price. I'd been looking at Waterfords and Paramounts for the last several months and this one is very well priced.

What's with the rear shifter?

I like this a lot...the Waterford Paramounts are very undervalued in my mind.

The price isn't a "it will be gone in an hour" number, but it's very reasonable, and it would part out for more. For whatever reason, Waterford Paramounts don't get that much love in the market...which makes them a great buy.

My Waterford Paramount SUCKS - said no one ever.

Ok, Internet, what on Earth is this? Looks lower end.

https://buffalo.craigslist.org/bop/d...365506597.html

$40 OBO!
Made late 1950's to early 1960's

I do not have the head badge, wasn't there when I got it.

Unusual history as bike shows sticker for import to South Africa and sold there through Raleigh dealership. Somehow it came here from there.

Including cranks as only original parts left beyond frame and forks

Very rare bike. Could only find a single sale listing for a complete bike in all USA and Canada.

Can supply more pictures if emailed
Can meet at Buffalo bike co-op on Tues or Thursday evenings when open (6-9pm). Please email or call and leave voice message so I will bring the bike with me.
Please call ahead as not always on internet

As I recall, Armstrong used to be a tire manufacturer in the US. That is probably a model that they had contracted and branded with their name. Back in the day many tire companies also had house brand bikes.

Sorry guys

Armstrong (in this case) was an old UK company that was taken over by Raleigh in early 1960's.

Pretty sweet schwinn sierra mtb/touring with double brazeons, and mid-fork rack brazeons too! Looks like it even has a bullmoose bar.
~Only $65 dollaridoos~

https://sandiego.craigslist.org/nsd/...368999993.html

Also:

64cm Nishiki international. Dbl butted tange, probably mid/upper mid components but they're out of focus in the relatively useless picture. $100
https://sandiego.craigslist.org/nsd/...359424189.html

And a well-used Bob trailer for cheap, only $50.
