Who here likes looking at their bike?
I love my bike and I'm always looking and admiring it from afar. I keep it in the house and I can look at it daily. I also like anything mechanical and can look at cars, planes etc for hours at a time and since bikes are mechanical I'm easily amazed on how things work and function. After a few rides I will wipe things down to keep the dust from caking, wash the bike if it gets muddy and wipe and lube my chain often. But once I start to ride my thought go else where and it seems my bike disappears and I'm just enjoying the scenery and exercise.
I don't think I'm obsessed but I do like my bike. Anyone else feels this way? I hope you guys don't just throw your bikes in the garage after you ride and forget about it till the next time especially high end $$$ bikes...
What are your thoughts on your bike?

I do, all the time.
When I ride it to work, my bike gets parked right outside my office so I get to admire it all day long. Others notice it (the bike) and comment, and then we have something to talk about!
At home, I often go out to the garage just to admire them. I always keep 'em plenty clean too... yes, I'm obsessed, and I'm ok with that.

I have to do a lot of repairs and building in the living room for a lack of space to do it outside, and with inclement weather.

Yep. I go out to the garage just to look at em.
Sometimes I pat my beater on the seat like a dog. What a good boy. Big and strong. We've been through so much together. I just love what I can do on them. Arc out across the landscape like a fighter jet on alert. It's always ready, just waiting for me.

I keep my bike in the House always. In summer it I keep it parked right by the front door. I will always stop for a stare session when I walk by it. I love my bike I get so much joy from riding.

Looking at it? No; I think it looks like a refugee from an old-folks' home. I like to ride it, though, and that's what I bought it for.

I agree with you.
Bicycles in most cases are works of art.
It stands to reason we like our work of art the most.
When in a rack of bikes my bike is the prettiest one there.
Regardless of whatever bikes are there mine is the prettiest.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

I often find myself in my garage sipping morning coffee (or weekend beer) gazing it my bikes lost in thought of memories past and ambitions for coming rides, tours, adventures, etc. to me they are works of art that double as good memory forming machines.

Why of course I do. Doesn't everybody on BF do that?
The real question is does your bike get jealous when you glance over at other bikes?

Red Before and Blue after. Why wouldn't I stare? By the way - I changed back to a normal threadless stem.

No room in my house for a whole bike, even on a wall. I could make a bare frame fit on a wall in the living room if I had one artsy enough to not build up. I would have to get it approved by the Chief Executive of course, but she wouldn't notice if I was staring at it, I think....

Guilty. When I built up my Dawes Galaxy and had it painted metallic green with a honey Brooks saddle...of when I bought my white pearl Record Ace...or the old Jamis Diablo I resurrected with a burntish orange powder coat...
Problem is, sometimes they’re a little too pretty and I’m afraid of damaging the paint...
