All purpose Memorial

Found north of Grand Junction, Colorado, this roadside display pretty much covers everything from Halloween to Easter. The cross is illuminated by solar powered LEDs.

Can we learn something about this bike? Weight? What is the top speed?

I've only seen one in real life, on the Silver Comet Trail here in Georgia. I tried to keep up just to get a look but there wasn't a chance.
It's all carbon and kevlar, but it's heavier than most people think. Probably around 26 lbs but I haven't weighed it on a good scale. The frame is open behind the seat pad, and I typically carry a pump, patch kit, and tools, as well as a hydration bladder inside the frame. There are about 2 dozen of them in the US, and the company is no longer in existence. As far as speed, well I guess that's mostly a factor of the motor. But it's fast enough that when the group does a sign sprint, the one that finishes 2nd behind me is declared the winner. I've never had it on a mountain, but I know that it handles rock-steady at 50 mph.

Too funny about the sprint.

That brownstone would be worth a pretty penny these days.

they sold it when the last of my grandparents passed away in the '70s. wonder how little my grandfather paid for it, and when that was. funny how you don't question some things as a kid. the place to buy now is Washington D.C. there is a lot more gentrification coming to that town. we walked past blocks & blocks of the cutest bldgs in need of renovation. in some cases they are preserving just the facade like this one near the historic Shaw Brewpub and Kitchen, right off Florida Ave NW

Knowing what you're digging !!!

Pretty soon the mosquitoes will be hatching,
Nose breathing in a couple areas.
:::Good motivators too::::
No place to take a break & they can hit 12 mph, keep moving.......

(some mosquitoes are big enough to eat, but taste terrible). LOL.

Old growth tree stumps, just down the backyard and in a county designated protected area.
5'-6' diameter for many.
Last year I carried a bike down for pics, but they just seem lame.

Moss season is in full bloom around me.

I turned 50 on April 3. To celebrate, I visited Santa Barbara and rode from Knapp's Castle down into the Santa Ynez River valley. All I have to say is it was too dang short!
